I had a friend who played him when we both were starting the game and after I saw all the drawbacks to the forms (mainly moose being combat oriented but not strong enough to actually be good at it) and then him dying to starving once he went to normal, I figured I’d rather not try him. I’m glad he’s getting some love though just because he’s felt neglected imo

I think I’m general the update seriously helps him and I’m very glad as a woodie main myself but the one issue I do have with it is that the shadow alignment ability I feel is very underpowered compared to the lunar alignment ability, if you start going into your wereform at the right time you really don’t need to worry about nightmare creatures and even if it drops that low both the werebeaver and meremoose can get you nightmare fuel and the weregoose can just run away

While on the other hand not having to worry about moon transformations removes woodie’s actual downside which stops you from easily getting glommer back, transforming Chester or hunting were pigs without using monster meats or just not having to transform and possibly being interrupted with what you were doing

An additional problem with the shadow alignment one is that if you charge as Moose Woodie, you have a good chance of hitting a shadow creature anyway and aggroing it.

you can explore the ruins as werebeaver and not get attacked by shadows doesnt seem underpowered to me, full moon is just free transformations. only time i would put the lunar alliance on is when going for celestial champion

The full moon transformation was never a downside to me, you can just sit still and it will quickly run out like normal, enough time to pick up glommer.

he’s not a wolfgang with raw dps but he’s got mobility, tankiness and health regen so it’s more of a choice of whether you want raw dps but higher risk of dying and needing to prepare armor and food, or less dps but only needing 2 idols and having healing and a weapon built in.

The Chad himself, say do you like the Woodie Skill Tree? I am adoring the everything about it, I personally love the Moose cuz it has been my favorite form (the live version is still underwhelming and only good for road kill anyways :/). I like your video about your thoughts on why Woodie needed a buff months ago (or was it a year idk) so since he got his Tree perks, I genuinely think his now a good character on his own specially as a solo character in my opinion. Oh yah I forgot you can cancel the 3rd mega punch by micro-moving, I think I saw a video before were he was able to do 6 hits including the mega punch.

This is cool, can you do celestial champion next? I managed to kill it with the moose using some amulets, and few jelly beans for the final phase, i used the charge to destroy crystals on the 3rd phase, and to go through the boss to dodge all the lasers. I think you could better optimise it.

6 x 60 = 360 damage with wilson and a fresh hambat. 4 x 60 = 260 + 280 = 540 damage if you skip the super punch animation, to be able to make 6 hits instead of 5 like shown in the video.

You probably have some mods that makes you crash, disable them all and try it again. If that doesnt help reinstall the game

@@doritos4956 You don't need THAT much wood and "hard material" doesn't cluster up, so I guess it's only for stumps and marble/stone trees. Also there's other things like bearger/fuelweaver/even pigs that can chop trees (I'm going for Were-moose mastery then)

@@adna6958 wolfgang does more damage and football helmets are pretty cheap even in a speedrun, also you can just use a ham bat for the entire run to not have to worry about weapon durability
