I understand why alot of people wouldn't spend that kind of money on a trailer. For years I told myself I wouldn't. My first 3 trailers were used. Four years ago I retired and we started traveling long distances and many weeks at a time. Our first trip of this kind was 7 weeks to the southwest from New Hampshire in our 2010 29' KZ. It was a great trip but I was constantly repairing the trailer. It just wasn't built for that and the tanks were too small for boondocking. Three years ago we purchased a new Rockwood 2618VS. People said Rockwood was a quality unit and it had more room and larger tanks. We were in West Texas last April and got a flat tire on the truck and flipped the trailer on its side. After spending 6 days in El Paso getting things back together we headed, with all our belongings in a Uhaul trailer, to Albuquerque. We looked at some new trailers there and discovered Lance at Rocky Mountain RV. We had been very disappointed with the Rockwood. It had many of the same poor construction issues as the KZ. It was fancier but had the same poor quality build as every other unit we've seen. The Lance is completely different. We ended up buying a model 2375. It is 28'. Two feet shorter than the Rockwood. It has been the perfect trailer for us. The construction is unlike most other trailers. We got back home with NO problems. We took a 2 week trip to Maine that June and a 4 week to the upper peninsula in Michigan last fall. The trailer has been flawless. It's the trailer we always wanted but never knew existed. Yes it's expensive. It's worth every penny. It's just better in every way. We have 2 100AH lithium batteries and 400 watts of solar. We go where we want whenever we want. Lance is awesome!

Amazingly complete walk-around and walk-thru! Thanks, Joe and Kait. I've respected Lance since their beginning in 1965 with truck campers (revered by those who explore, fish, hunt). Trailers are solid, the 4-SEASON nature is something I love, because I want to be out there 24/7/365. I've been waiting for a non-slide 2-axle from Lance for years, and finally this 2075 model is here. I'll see you out there!

Great video showing the layout and features of this model; thank you for doing it! My wife and I have been camping on a 19' hybrid trailer for 20 years and have been looking for a few months for our new TT. We are located in Western Canada. We had a few wants: A true 4 season trailer, as we want to use it in winter in places like Whistler. Walk around queen size bed, outside kitchen, as in spring / summer / fall we normally cook and eat outside. And also ability to tow it with our SUV, rated at 7,000 lbs. We like that you can store a portable generator in the special compartment and that we can take our bikes in the hitch receiver in the back. We read many reviews & have looked into many brands. Last September we were in an RV show and the Lance rep mentioned the 2075 model was coming up, so we waited. Went into the dealership this weekend to see it in person and bought it! We agreed with the dealer that wanted to show it in the upcoming RV show next weekend. We take possession the week after that. Hope there are no quality issues! A bit pricey, still cheaper than a condo in Whistler! :-)

I have a 1575. Lance trailers have good floor plans and features. The materials are good quality. Where Lance fails miserably is build quality. I’ve had issues with roof leaks. It was fixed once and now it’s leaking again. The converter is noisy. One of the awning mounts is coming off. The front window leaked and was replaced by Lance. The on demand hot water works sometimes and sometimes not so well. The grey water valve leaked and was fixed by Lance. The AC is not powerful enough for hot California summer days. The led light on the awning gave up after a year and a half. I would not buy another Lance nor would I recommend one to anyone else. It’s a premium priced trailer with a bargain basement build quality!

@@happycampers.1837 You've nailed it, and it explains how you have people that swear by Lance quality, while others, not so much. Honestly I very much like the low key presentation. The facts and features summary is easy to follow and understand. This camper has a nice home / cottage design. This could be a 2 part presentation Joe. The first part was what you gave us today. Part 2 could be a follow up answering viewers questions. There’s a limit on how long a video like this should be. Not too long or you will lose people’s interest or too short and people will not return. Part 2 should also provide details on the features you presented. For example. What power system will this unit offer? Does it offer a inverter and if so what are the rated values. Overall I can appreciate this product review and will look forward to see more. I also believe you should move your product reviews over to a new channel. Separate from “ We’re the Russos”. I know I will sign up for them! 👍🏼

What’s interesting is if you look at our videos and sort by the most popular, it’s the walk through videos by far. That’s how we got the channel started. If anything we’d have a second channel for the travel stuff as it’s not nearly as popular but another managing a second channel is a lot of work.

We're the Russos / looking at your past videos what got me interested it your channel was the love of adventure both of you had as you travelled from one location to the next. Taking us along and showing us how you made a home on wheels work for you. How you prepared your meals and had fun doing it. You showed us how having make do with less. It was more interesting to see how VanLife had its advantages by travelling to places that most of will never see. Yes it’s also interesting to see new and innovative campers along with its state of the art technology for people to use. I really hate to see you give up your adventures and your life style VLOGS for basically commercialized reviews of other people’s latest gizmo. That is why I mentioned a separate channel. One for your wonderful VLOGS that you take us on board and travel from one place to another. And the other channel that brings us your nicely crafted and detailed product reviews. I will of course watch whatever you bring to the table but I sure sure hope it more adventure then product! As always Joe and little K , Happy trails and be safe!

We started with a 4 Wheel Pop up in the 1980's then went to a Lance Camper and F250. Had that rig for 30 years and just replaced it with a F250 Super Duty Diesel and a Lance 1985 Trailer. Just took our first short trip in it and it tows great and is perfect size for two and two small dogs. Lance may not be as good since they sold to a large company but they seem much nicer than a Jayco/Colman/Forest River etc. that are less expensive. Funny some think it is overpriced. It is higher than some base model trailers but we were considering an Airstream which was twice as expensive as the Lance. Hopefully we will not have a lot of issues but our dealer is great and a Lance only dealer Galaxy Campers in Ontario CA.

Wow!! I did a YT video review of my then Jayco 175rd and in it i challenged Lance to CATCH-UP to Jaycos 175rd floorplan jokingly. Apparently a very smart engineer agreed and created this BEAUTY!!! I just flipped out of the 175 into a Mesa Ridge 21fb for its walk around bed and separate living areas for a small 1/2 ton truck towable RV. Wished I had seen This One. Beautiful Lance👏. (Hey Jayco, your turn to catch up to Lance now) It's all about the separation dinning/Tv and sleeping... This nailed it. Too pricey for us, but still, nice, real nice. Ps... I did call it though, its on my KZbin video....😄😄😄👍👍

I just sold a Winnebago TT 26 feet. This layout really appeals to me. My only concern with all of the windows is leaking after rain or snow. I know quality of RVs has really gone down lately (Winnebago TT quality is terrible), I had a lot of issues with my previous Winnebago Travel Trailers. The ONLY way to buy an RV is to buy it used. RVs plummet in value almost immediately. My advice is to find the year, make, and model that appeals to you and then BE PATIENT. Wait a year or two and find a nice used one. If you buy from an owner and not a dealership you will save THOUSANDS. Most RV owners take very good care of their RVs and fortunately, most of the bugs have been worked out and if you buy from the right owner, most have added improvements too. I do like the look and layout of this model and the lack of the slide out eliminates a HUGE complication. I don't know what the quality of the LANCE is, I have to wait and do some research but this is on my watch list. I can tell you that I've learned that the Winnebago Minnie and Minnie Plus line have known issues now with water leaking from the front caps.

I think you missed some other cool things that Lance did with this new unit. You missed the rear bumper storage and that both awnings are legless and have wind sensors so they will close to prevent damage. Also, Lance is putting Goodyear tires on it with a torsion suspension. Inside you missed a hidden cubby found in the corner behind the cushion of the dinette. What you called the fuse area was actually the brain for the InCommand system which has a panel at the door and you can also use an app on your smart phones to control everything. I do love that you pointed out the partial window lock to leave them cracked. Good job.

If I were choosing for you and Kate it would be on a class b platform as a first choice, second would be a truck camper with travel trailer at last. You will always have to find a place for the trailer plus your truck you would be at a larger class c or even class a in length. There are pluses for the trailer, but I am thinking a Pleasure-Way b+ , Leisure Travel b+ or the smallest Coach House b+ is a better option than a trailer all three have models around 25ft. or under. You can always find used a couple of years old with low mileage. There are always retires who buy and suddenly have health issues and have to sell, shit happens in life to all of us sooner or later no one gets a free pass...

I like the way that Lance is moving to the far superior European caravan features. I had a Swift Bessacarr English caravan in New Zealand and was impressed by how they put N. American units to shame. I only saw one downside - the propane outlet for the grill is nowhere near the outdoor kitchen.

downside?????...price for one....msrp starting at mid $45,000 and options will make the price go up higher...so tax, license and finance will be over $60,000 for 12 year loan...the trailer shown does not tell the viewer which items are standard but they are in the market to make money so I presume most of the items are options...the big thing I look at is the top/bottom...how is it sealed to protect moisture?...if it leaks, you're screwed $$$$...most trailer places require you to come in once/twice a year for maintenance to keep up the warranty...this adds to the cost...and this rig weighs dry 5900lbs; add all your belongings will crank it over 6500lbs so you need a big truck to haul it around...if you like, buy it...but for me, I would check all the reviews about lance trailers...my opinion only...

@@sherrcon It is a premium RV, not an RV for someone who needs 12 year financing.

@@robertd9850 / so who is this trailer marketed for?...must be senior because middle income recipients do not have that ready cash to buy...even without the finance, tax and license is up to $45,000 without options...obviously you are the type of guy to plunk some $50,000-$60,000 cash to buy...good for you...but is that a smart decision?...most people buy on credit...people don't even buy cars cash and that's a four/five year loan...once you drive that rig off the lot, it will probably depreciate $10,000 right off the bat...if you read below, lance's quality is not up to par...but if it makes you happy to buy, go for it...my opinion

Nice trailer! I must have missed something, it has a roof rack but no ladder, how do you get to the roof? It would also be nice to know the weight of it so you would know if it could be pulled by your rig. Personally I would rather have more privacy in the bedroom and the big windows in the living area.

Those screens don't block enough light for my taste. Truly "blacking out" those massive windows would be a nightmare.

The weight rating was about the first thing he mentioned...

there is a telescoping thule ladder that comes with. There is included thule magnetic cross piece that helps keep the ladder against the side of the rig.

Looked at this at the Tampa RV show in January. Nice....BUT, needs to be 8'6" wide instead of just 8" wide. Without the slide out that 6" in extra width makes a huge difference. Also needs to be about 2 or 3 feet longer, all of the extra length in the middle making more kitchen counter space. Lance builds a nice quality trailer. This could be a home run for folks that do not like slide outs and all they problems. Little wider to the legal limit of 102" and stretch it a bit and you could get some converts from Airstreamers. Nice first attempt at a no slide model, but a bit to tight for me. One more thing, the on demand (Truma) water heaters suck. My friend has one in his Lance Model 1985 and he hates it.

Still too much $$. No real hanging closet for clothes!? Those tiny ones by the headboard are a joke 😆 Otherwise good design for $25-28k.

For someone that's isn't getting this trailer you did a great job of showing it. However, reviews for Lance quality and support have gone south since their recent takeover after 53 years. I'm searching for a trailer about this size (i.e. Lance 1985, 1995) and one with a working generator and solar power when needed. I noticed this Lance now has a compartment for a generator but you didn't say much about it, what size wattage, can you run it in there I didn't see an exhaust, how does it connect to the trailer, etc. I agree with other people's comments about the key rack, the curtain (should have a sliding panel), narrow walkway while cooking (really does need to have a slide out), no storage in the bathroom but otherwise looks okay (not sure about that 5 to 6 inch gap at the top of the door when you're right next to the galley), anywhere a wall is blank it should have hooks or a rack of sliding hooks for hanging coats and hats, etc., when you opened the door to the fuses all those loose wires to the left didn't look good. I know it sounds like all I'm doing is complaining but, I've really been looking at Lance to come up with a fit for what I'm looking for because of their long history of great quality in 4 Season trailers. Will they survive the recent takeover and put the quality back? I hope so, but they better hurry as Nash by Northwood is getting my attention. Hopefully, Lance reads your comments too. Thanks!

We visited the dealership and asked the same question. The compartment for the generator is just to store it. You can't run it there. We measured it and it's about 25" by 18" Good enough for a Honda 2200 or similar.

@@alexbuhler1164 Thanks for the info Alex. I have been looking at the Lance 1985 for some time but since I viewed this Lance video, I found a great off-grid RV. The model name is Back Country made by Outdoors RV in Oregon. It has a Onan propane generator that you can use when you're not plugged in to the grid, solar panels, 4 season fully insulated on all sides, even under the single slide-out and underbelly. Anyway, I've been searching for nearly 2 years and this Back Country model (i.e. cousin to Northwood Nash) has me sold. I will be purchasing a 2021 model.
