This got me in the feels, thought I'd share :) One day, as a small child, Thomas Edison came from School and gave a paper to his mother. He said to her, "Mom, my teacher gave this paper to me and told me only you have to read it. What does it say?" Her eyes welled with tears as she read the letter out loud to her child. The worst thing about this world is that the masses are beggining to convert to hatred, greed, and selfishness as opposed to compassion, being giving and selfessness. Its a fight between good and evil and a lot of people forget to stop sometimes and think about how they can make a positive change in this world and help others. That sure is the case for us in GenX. I can't say what this current generation is going through but I know mine was brutal and terrifying, also on high alert that Russia was going to nuke us. Then war,, then another ,then another that kept dragging on for two decades. Seemed like that madness would never end. In Afghanistan we experienced the paranormal on a level none of us had seen. Sounds of war from battle long over , for as long as it had existed I guess. I then asked one of the old men there way they collect their fallen. He told me a story that still haunts me to this day. We finally get home only to find out our wives are gone or cheating on you the entire time you were gone. Zero support system for mental health etc. I heard alot of units only got 4 days to de-stress before going home. What a disaster that was. Our encomy tanked, everyone including me lost our houses and about everything in them. I am only now starting my life again and I'm 51. 90 percent of the time it feels like it's not worth it. So many of my friends have taped out and are gone from this world. I know how terrifying it was growing in an age that felt like time was on 11. Still does actually. We went from just a house phones to cell phones in 12 years, then came the internet, with so much promise then seeing the great corps of our country take something that was supposed to be free to everyone. Yet the corps have all of us salves to the tech with the price of our souls. So yeah for the generation coming up now it must be terrifying. I don't think any generation gets a easy roll of the dice to be honest. My father is 90 and his life was brutal coming up. He lost his mother at 12 I think. The only one to show him love just went poof out of his life. After that the rest of his early years were insane. Peace ✌

I'm 16 years old. I've grown up on music such as this and sountracks by people like Hans Zimmer etc. Its disappointing knowing that not enough people in my age group appreciate such fine art like this. They turn the blind to it as it doesn't rely on meaningless and empty lyrics and music allows the listener to create their own song and create their own meaning for it. I tried to made it better. And I made it worse than ever. Making it better made me realize it more, Without me she's better and can grow more. So I let her go. So i decided to stop to try to make it better. And just listened to the music that match what i am feeling. it might not help me to make me better. But it can help me cry, who stop tearing for a long time. Listening to this sad music, it made me realize that letting her go is the right choice, letting her go made her achieve the dreams she's dreaming with me, but letting her go, made my dreams with her got broken. its really quite sad that people run from certain emotions , guilt, fear, heartache, remorse, all these feelings are what keeps us human, it keeps us in touch with our hearts and souls. i too was running from emotion, i didnt want to deal with the sorrow, and in the end i ruined everything i touched . keeping your emotions in a bottle only makes you numb . when u do something to hurt someone you will carless a little more each time. we forget to quickly what its like to be on the recieving end . if we stopped to deal with our hurts and hangups rather than suppress them , we would be much more considerate of eachother. my life my love my everything was destroyed by my own hands , all bc i was emotionally distressed and didnt know how to deal with everything that had been keep deep inside , and when it showed its ugly face it was to late . self destruction only leads to more chaos and pain , all of this could have been avoided. its takes courage to push through your emotions , only a coward , and weak minded person runs.. stand and fight ! grab ur emotions and all that hurt and pain and sorrow and anger and wrestle it to the ground , deal with it! cry ,scream , whatever , just get it all out , let it burn ! and then let it go, dont give it control of your actions . it has to be dealt with. dont let it poison everything you love.

Don't be afraid to feel like shit just now and wait until you can look at it objectively. Because in a moment I hope you realize the effort you put in compared to anyone else in this journey you led. The culmination of your efforts is something so distant and difficult to acknowledge and comprehend. You lock yourself out of them so easily. I felt that pain for so so long. Despite believing that I have all the self-esteem, talent, relationships, etc. there was still some part of me missing. I felt that there can be more to this life and I can be more open and talkative with others (I'm very socially anxious). I will say that even reading this, if it speaks to you, it will take time to get over anything and despite great efforts to overcome your fears, it will feel like you still aren't making any progress. Mate, the very reason I started to feel anxious was because I wanted to change my life which put into perspective how terrible things were beforehand. The very fact that you are feeling terrible shows that you acknowledge your situation and that's a step. Don't let ignorance win. I love you. ;)
