MAX Jackpot definitely is an acquired taste for certain people, in my view, especially given how sad it is that the lot of the player base for Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball prior to the era of Internet on the widescale didn't know about the Multi~Ball Stages until Sonic Retro and KZbin guides really started to spike up; I don't think that I knew about Clucker's Defense until at least 2008 or 2009, eight to nine years after I first started playing the game, I discovered how to do the Double Death and Infinite Balls Glitch in 200I by manipulating the Rock Shot in Showdown but didn't have the dedication when I was a child to truly go for all the rings back then. Personally though, I am happy that the MAX Jackpot category exists, it allows for more viewers to see a part of the game that they would have otherwise overlooked and it really shows how much was put into this title for those who are as thorough in Item Collection as possible; it's also nice to have finally seen the Emerald Skips for The Machine and Showdown, I always thought that it was possible to get in the Boss Room without getting all the Chaos Emeralds and it really saves a lot of time knowing this now, wishfully certain other skips can be found to optimize the route even more than it is now. (:
