I love this category because you get to see so much of this amazing game. It's such a masterfully created one. The branching pathways really make it feel like you are getting lost in a VR game and aren't sure where to go. Also the level design is so intricate and cool.

yeah it a cool little bug i think you have to hit the flag and crouch the same frame or something like that, but basically it changes your helmet depending on what mask you already have.

haha thank you! I actually just watched your recent netplay video. First of all, I had no idea online multiplayer for this game was a thing. Second, if you cut out the second player's time, and some death on the final marathon, you would have a fairly decent 100k trip speedrun yourself!

I could probably show you how to set it up properly, just need to be aware that it adds some latency to the controls, which in this game leads to hilarious deaths. That'll probably explain some of the silly deaths on my end. It's like Kid Chameleon: Hard Mode.

I personally like the way I play better than I see here. I take time to grab plenty of diamonds and other prizes, not always in a hurry to get to the end of each level. I have Iron Knight add a hit point(50 diamonds) when I get a chance, and Maniaxe add an extra life from time to time, and sometimes figure it's best to use other Diamond Powers. Completeness is more important to me than speed, and I'm apt to bump one block too many and lose just enough seconds to disqualify if I go for a Speed Bonus anyway.

The sad part of this game was the fact when we had to switch off for whatever reason, we had to start all over again. So, some levels were always played and others, almost never... The fact that there were no save games possible impeded the player to discover the whole game.

a new game you might like, it's called 88 heroes. in some ways it reminds me of kid chameleon, you get 88 lifes to beat the game, but each life is a completely unique hero, and they are all very well designed heroes. the order you get them in is random, and when they die, they're gone for the rest of that playthrough. It also has an 80's, 90's vibe, its just an amazing game.

Amazing to watch as always! I beat the game finally in 2020 and will eventually try to beat it again/consistently, but for now still coasting on that accomplishment. I love watching your videos to see levels, strategies, skills that I don't have yet, etc. Have you made a video or videos that show the dozen or so that weren't included in this run? I'd love to see every level of this game just to be complete and maybe play them myself. Or maybe a video of all the Elsewheres played back to back if that possible? Or a maximum Elsewheres speedrun? Just some ideas in my head lol

This is the Sega Smash Pack 2 version of the game. It’s quite difficult to get working so I recommend Kega Fusion if you haven’t tried that yet.

Sometimes when you duck after landing from a jump, the game will mistakenly add 1 to the transformation number of the character sprite. No idea why it happens. In this case, Iron Knight (transformation 6) becomes Berzerker (transformation 7).

Half the time I got there it was five hours later and my hands were cramped and no save lol. Question. When facing Shishkaboss, after defeating the top head, why didn't you make use of the small space inbetween the metal blocks and the middle head to quickly kill it? I've used that in the past to destroy the middle head in a whole second.

The middle head had way too much HP for that to work in that moment; even riding it all the way to the top of the level couldn't kill it. When I played this game casually, that was also the only way I could beat it; very hard level. Of course, grabbing that helmet in a speedrun is too slow so we have to do a far more difficult method.
