His tone and technique are just beyond what anyone else is doing right now. When you hear him play you instantly recognize it’s him. Really talented guitar player.

I think Wes and Brandon Ellis are two of the most exciting players right now.

ESPSJ you’re absolutely correct with Brandon Ellis. He is like Marty Friedman on steroids.
@ESPSJ5 жыл бұрын
@@endofanera1983 He's got all of the classic chops but he's mega clean. He's quite young too. Really hope he does a solo album and it takes off. I respect Black Dahlia Murder, but just cannot get into their music so hearing him do something else would be badass.

Agreed, his slides and vibrato is unmatched. Only person with better legato that comes to mind is Rick Graham

@@13guitard00d Not heard of Josh, I'll check him out. Big fan of David Davidson though, Cretin and Cradle robber both have two of my favorite solos.

This dude’s vibrato and legato are inhuman. Only people who are comparable in that department are Rick Graham and Guthrie Govan

I'd add Marco Sfogli and Per Nilsson.

Interviewer was a weenie when he was correcting Wes on what he REALLY wanted in response to his jazz question. Wes' response to "what he would do in another life" is choice hahaha

This man is the reason I own my RGD7UCS, pretty sure I'm going to dunk his pickup in..although I still really love the Aftermaths it came with....anyways..great interview and great guitar player! Can't wait to hear more from him.

I always thought all 7 string players were generic until I looked up some Mesa Boogie TC demos ... enter Wes playing As The Crow Flies in his demo and now I have to get one too!
