I remember Wes Mathews being on the 1986-7 Lakers. They had a great season and won the championship. Mathews came off the bench, he didn't get alot of playing time but he was a positive influence on the team. You could tell he was a leader of the team along with others. He played well when his # was called. Enthusiasm, toughness, he could play.

I'm from Wes' hometown of Bridgeport and maybe just a year older. He was THE MAN in high school. He couldn't be stopped. Far from a one man show at Harding High though. It was a hoops factory back in the day. Packed gym, live bands playin that 70's funk. Unforgettable times.

Celtics fan here but I loved Coop and his defensive efforts. Bird said Coop was his toughest defender and I witnessed many of those games. You were always a gentleman and I subscribed to your channel because of that. Good luck and thanks for the great memories.
