My 2nd cousin married a man who went to prison. Family didn’t initially trust him, he was ashamed and didn’t talk about his experience, I still don’t even know what he did. But he went on to become a pastor, a self- made business man and they raised 3 nice children, married now 15+ years. That’s a story that should be told.

My first move is to check the paperwork of people I associate with, and look at criminal histories. Paperwork is just the court documents of the case one is sentenced on and the criminal history will let you know all previous crimes of the person. In my experience every branch of corrections, County, State, Federal all move differently. It comes down to what branch you're sentenced in.
