The shortened scenes are often the fault of the advertisement blocks. Know that because the Ausrian TV ( ORF ) does that not here I had the GRIMM episodes for a short time in full. Of course such a prime series was worth buying on DVD you are right of course. Yes, really well done Fantasy Series as that are rare as gem stones.

@@christinacody5845 for long period shots or with lots of multiples at the same time its makeup with cgi just used for the rippling. there are pics on the wiki such as the wedding episode that show that a lot of twins or close in appereance were used with one being the human face and one person or twin in the makeup. its a lot more makeup then people think. the krampus for most screen time except the tongue and changing back to human was makeup. they had to balance time/cost of makeup versus cgi when figuring what to do. honestly for tv at the time the cgi is a lot better then most and still better then say the Cats movie.
