Personally, I think Chris confronting Wesker is Canon. Purely because in the other games, Wesker seems to have more of a bone to pick with Chris than he does with Jill. But that’s just me.

Yeah I agree, RE Code Veronica and RE5 seem to heavily imply this, and also the most telling sign is that Wesker is only "Killed" by the Tyrant in Chris's Scenario, the only way this happens in Jill's Scenario is if Barry is killed during the Lisa Trevor Boss Fight, which is obviously Non-Canon since Barry is confirmed to have survived the Mansion Incident along with Chris, Wesker, Jill and Rebecca

I agree, it seems to make more sense that Jill was the one held in that cell and when Chris went ahead to investigate on his own, Wesker knocked her out while she wasn't looking and left her gun intentionally on the floor for Chris to use for self-defense (obviously just to test this combat skills further). He was interested in monitoring Chris the entire time and he was.
