I 100% agree with you. People need to remember that todays "stars" were yesterdays never heard of him before. Players can't become stars if they don't get to play. Limiting playing opportunities is not a recipe for success. At the same time. If players have a problem with it. Play better. That's the simple answer. The tour is driven by how well you play. If you win and are in contention week in and week out you will become a star. The tv interviews follow, the deep dive into your background follows and with that more opportunities come. It wasn't but 4 or 5 years ago no one really heard of Scottie Scheffler or knew much about him. Throw a few wins and the mix and a couple of majors and boom stardom.

If PGA or LIV want a new generation of viewers and consumer sponsors, the tour elites and decision makers should sit down with Wes & Co and figure out how to harness what works from KZbin golf creators. Wes deserves a full tour card based on how he is growing the game. Don't underestimate the success of KZbin golf. It’s quite easy to understand why the tour is shrinking field size. The tour has committed lots of money to the players The “names” don’t necessarily want some guy 118th on the money list winning a tournament and getting a chunk of the money. Remember the big names are exempt for several years, some for life. Plus, they’re looking to prevent having to carry rounds over due to a fog delay or slow play and large field size. Who knows, they may be narrowing the size of the tour to minimize the participation of LIV guys if the agreement with the PIF comes to fruition. But one thing everyone can be sure of. Reducing field size is about money more than anything else.

People will watch this tournament just because Wes is in the field. He's one of the big guys now.

I'm with Lucas. More competition is better. You don't know who the future stars will be and making it harder for people to get on the tour and make a living in golf means there will be potential that never develops.

Got to love Wesley. He is a better product for the game than a Rory or a Schauffele, he brings personality to the game. The PGA needs to take some tips from KZbin golfers like him. That’s what viewers want.

What an absurd thing to say

What an absurd response to a person’s opinion. @wadepreston34 is correct. The tour lacks personality. Bland, vanilla and robotic can be used to describe many players on tour.

@ if you genuinely believe that Wesley Bryan is more important to the PGA tour than Rory and Xander then you’re living in a fantasy world

Sorry to disappoint with my comment, but I am watching KZbin golfers way more than PGA, way more entertaining. And I voted for Trump, so fucking shoot me.

He is a hypocrite. He wouldn't be saying the things he is saying if you was just starting his career.

The pga needs to think about how tomorrow's stars will emerge if they eliminate Monday qualifiers and limit fields. And the golf fan will often be interested in players who are not in the top 100 because of where they come from, where they played in college, etc. Fan interest is not driven by the stars only. When you go from 125 to 100 you reduce those opportunities for fan connections.

The PGA is now having competition that they’ve not had since their inception. At least not in the degree of losing major players that once brought viewers to their product. All pro sports have made changes that were necessary for their fans to stay interested in their purpose. Seems these changes are due to less money and sponsorship and fewer opportunities to be on the league. In essence this will open up more doors or avenues for the young players to seek after. Lucas is right and Wesley, you’re a very talented golfer but sometimes doors close and others open(KZbin Golf), that when your career began, never dreamt any of we fans could get an up close look at who we enjoy to root for. Wesley, you and George, as well as the other YT players are helping pioneer golf that is attractive to all ages. There will be those that will still follow the tour, but many who’s looking for a platform not built by lies to their players who makes them their money, called fans/viewers. PGA players should be tired of the in your face lies from the top down. Truth is deserved from adults who are professionals, not children with a beginners bag of clubs asking to play. They earned their spot by hard work, and yes, lots of finances involved by some whose parents mortgaged homes, retirements just to get their loved one to PGA level. Wesley, once I discovered you and others KZbin content, I’ve felt more drawn to that vs other rounds of golf. It’s a game and should be fun to play and certainly to watch. Mankind has always taken the fun out of things for the almighty dollar!! Follow your dreams and go Bryan Brothers!!!! Oh by the way…. The skins game all 6 of you did for 100k was overtop fun to watch!!!! Keep in coming!!!!!

Give me the ability to watch Wesley play 18 over someone like Speith anyday! Don’t sell yourself short Wesley, the work you and George put in on KZbin gives us viewers a more personal relationship with who we’re watching

It's a terrible idea IMO. One of the great things in golf is the Monday qualifier and the chance to climb up the ladder and make it!
