This should have been the Grand Final of International Gladiators, IMHO. Wesley Berry (arguably the greatest American champion) did face Series 3 Men's Champion Paul Field in the Grand Final, but in my view, Phil Norman is the greatest men's UK Gladiator champion ever.

Phil came within 10ft of beating 2 Scoops. I remember as a kid thinking no one would come close to touching 2 Scoops, so to see him get pushed all the way like this was legendary. Both can be proud of that performance 🫡

Awesome! Hope he is doing well. I used to always ask him about Gladiators, I remember one time I was reading a newspaper in class and was telling my friends about UFC which i'd not heard about and Phil said "What are you talking about?" We thought we were being told off then he explained that he does it. Really enjoyed being in his class. I remember also telling him i'd just watched the episode of Gladiators where he proposed to his wife. He replied "Ex wife" I felt a bit embarrassed!

All the comments on the internet about 2 Scoops going to prison and no one any sources about his crimes. There are 20 year old articles about grand champion Cheryl Wilson's murder still online but there isn't even a well sourced blog post about Wesley Berry's supposed crimes? Even if Wesley Berry isn't his real name, some online sleuth would have found out when he was convicted, how long he was sentenced and when he got out of prison.
