It was a hell of a game to watch, that's for sure! You saw glimpses of Derricks personality when he was with Miami but it's been a pleasant surprise to myself and many how big his personality really is. Thankfully the Reds let him be himself. It certainly give more reasons to sit through a 3+ hour game and it would be good of MLB to realize players like him, Baez (ugh, Cubs...but good for my point), Puig, etc can show some emotion or do something hilarous (with no intent on "insulting" an opponent)- letting the game have interesting moments between homeruns and strikeouts and not have to worry about wearing a fastball in the back

Never really understood some "unwritten rules" at times. You see guys get thrown at for taking maybe 2 seconds to admire their work, when they know it's long gone, and usually it's an important run or more in the game. Imagine if when a pitcher gets an important out and yells in excitement, next batter comes up takes a hack at the ball and their bat "slips" out of their hand and hits the pitcher. Think they would just warn both sides??

Casino tokens (also known as casino or gaming chips, checks, or cheques) are small discs used in lieu of currency in casinos. Colored metal, injection-molded plastic or compression molded clay tokens of various denominations are used primarily in table games, as opposed to metal token coins, used primarily in slot machines. Casino tokens are also widely used as play money in casual or tournament games.

@@jakeclark8955 But here's the thing, if batters get blown away and struck out they don't throw the bat at the pitcher or charge the mound in embarassment. Its not that someone hits a home run off of them that makes them a pussy. Its the fact that they can't take the L like a man and feel the need to throw at the dudes head the next time he's up. That's some bitch shit

Damn...baseball with Jose Fernandez in it was a lot of fun. Such a pure talent and seemed to enjoy the game like we did when we were kids. Having Dietrich on my team has been a blast too - guy has an incredible personality and sense of humor. It's a shame that the "unwritten rules" still apply when something happens against your team. I follow both the Marlins and Reds...Dietrich had every reason to want revenge on Archer and it was sweet when he got it. Not sure there are many pitchers more hypocritical than the bicep kissing Archer, or hell, for that matter the culture of the Pirates. No wonder they've led the universe in hitting batters for most of Hurdles reign.

When I played, a century or so ago, if I thought/knew a pitcher threw at me, the next time I faced him I made sure my bat slipped out of my hands...straight at the pitcher's mound and aimed at the pitcher's feet.. After a few of those, I didn't get thrown at much.

I mean it’s only fair. Pitcher throws at you with his weapon, good on you for returning the favor.

It was his first Major League HR, so he had a right to be excited, IMO. But of course the Braves get pissy abput every little thing, like it's still the 90s when they were in the postseason every year. They were even pissy apparently about their 20-something year old stadium, so they move way north out in the sticks. SMH

Russ H obviously it was from years apart. Players don’t forget that shit tho. Whether it’s a few days or a few years when they get showed up like that they can’t wait to come back and stick it to them

I like it all. Admire the hr,do your flashy trot,admire your strike out and hit the batter on thigh or backside. Part of the game

Why does the Dietrich oneake me mad? Like im really angry about it for some reason
@peteraccardokeyboard900

Because some players are just way too pompous. The guy who makes me angry is Javier Baez, when he hits like a 350FT homer and does his little obnoxious bat flips. If you really fucking bomb one, it's alright to admire it I guess, like the Dietrich one in terms of distance, but that admiration was very douchy.

Because before this year he was absolutely nothing. The Marlins didn't even want him. He's having a decent year but acting like he's on pace to break 61 and every one of them were 500 fy no doubters. He's a jackass.

he actually threw at hoskins twice, once behind his back like it was shown in this video, but also right at his head like just a pitch later. kzbin.info/www/bejne/f5uoqIFnoLeEo68

Fernandez was fine with me. I just hated how Chris Johnson always wants to run behind the players and then talk shit. He had one good year with us.
