We will be walking along West 6th Street - Starting on 86th Street, making our way through the lower half of the alphabet of avenues, including Avenue W to Avenue P, and ending at 65th Street by Bay Parkway. This walk takes place in the Gravesend section of Brooklyn NY. This stretch of road is a truck route in South Brooklyn. This is why it is a 2 way lane. The road is also residential, with some commercial spots, including the Avenue U and Kings Highway Intersections.

This was a memory lane moment for me. As a kid I lived on W7th St. between U and V, and some of my friends lived on W6th between Ave V and T. I also had some relatives on W6th, so I spent a lot of time there. I also used to walk from 7th St. via W6th to the library on Kings Highway for school assignments, but I see it's not there anymore. I feel like it was just yesterday. Thanks.
