Glad you enjoyed!! The Delaware is a beautiful river in every season. The knotweed is sprouting now and will soon be out in full force. It will be a single species jungle along the shoreline. Hopefully it at least stabilizes the stream bank. Thanks for watching. 👊

@@WildTroutManI believe that the knotweed destabilizes banks due to its rooting structure. Over time it leads to bank erosion.

Thanks John. T&T?? Yes, the combo of the white deer hair streamer chasing the black worked very well. It was also successful this past weekend for Steelhead on the Erie tribs.

what’s the set up you were running as far as your leader and flies? it looked like you had two streamers but tied the top one with a tag end on a 90?? just wondering wanna experiment

Yes, the top fly was tied on the tag from the upper tippet. This was the smaller white streamer being ‘chased’ by the larger black streamer.

Yeah, that was the Tommy Hilfiger attractor pattern. lol The trout didn’t seem to mind, but certainly not recommended for small stream commando fly fishing for wild trout.

If you’re going to fish for them in the cold and handle them, grow a set and take those gloves off! Wet your hands, all those fish you handled are probably not going to return very healthy given the fact you removed half the slime layer on them.

Are you aware of the NYS reclassification of trout streams? Might want to update your info. Upper Delaware river system is one of only several rivers in the state that are classified as “Wild Premier “. Look up its definition and the regulations that are specific to that designation.

I’m assuming you are referring to these regulations. Wild-Premier Regulations • April 1-October 15, Daily Limit-1, Any size • October 16-March 31, Catch and Release only, Artificial lures only.
