Really nice. For someone unfamiliar with J&J they would probably think that was choreographed. Well done.

Beautifully choreographed and danced--gentle, subtle, graceful, sensuous, romantic. These two are SO in sync! Wonderful!!!

West coast swing, Jack & Jill it’s random pairing, lead follow: no choreography! Just two skilled dancers improvising within the West Coast Swing dance form. Neat, isn’t it? ❤🎉 Amatuers can play too! Just look up “West Coast Swing Dances in your area. Or you can find a West Coast Swing event (conference) They happen all over the world and across the US. It’s SO much fun! 💃 🕺

THIS is dancing. It's all fun and all that, to watch someone slinging someone around their necks...repeatedly....but precise footwork is the keystone of good dance. Gymnastics is gymnastics....dance is dance. These two are exceptional.

What's even better is that country is getting better at that on a national stage. Even the gymnastics are rhythmic now. And clubs are now combining WCS and country, so that WCS is the rhythm and flow while country hits the accents and climax. Much like how flaring and tech combined for bboying in the 90s-00s.

This is West Coast Swing, which is stylistically very different from the Lindy Hop it developed from. Lindy Hop is very much still alive and kicking, and it has all of the "swingy" vibes you'd expect. West Coast takes a lot of the basic footwork and connection from Lindy and stylizes it to better work with modern pop music.

This is... West Coast Swing. Salsa is very different. The name might be somewhat confusing if you hear "swing" and expect to see 20's era Charleston or something. West Coast evolved out of Lindy Hop, which is very much a "swingy" swing dance (and is still alive and kicking today). It takes the basic footwork of Lindy and stylizes it to work well with modern pop music, so they share some underlying concepts but look very, very different.
