West County Center - Des Peres, Missouri

Welcome to the West County Center located in Des Peres, MO. The mall opened in 1969 with anchors like JCPenney, and Famous Barr. The mall closed in 2001 and was demolished except for the anchor stores. In 2002 a brand new mall would be reconstructed and completed. New anchor stores would be added to the mall like Nordstrom, Lord and Taylor, and a Dick’s Sporting Goods. A new food court and a parking garage was also added to the mall. In 2006 Famous Barr was rebranded into Macy’s and in 2007 Lord and Taylor closed and was demolished for a new wing and a new Barnes and Noble. As of 2022 the mall is at 95% occupied. The entire mall was tore down and rebuilt in 2001. Only one original anchor building stands, the JCPenney.
