Thankfully we saw the end of the international break, and the Primemutton was back on the road again , this time for another Cockney Odyssey for the away game at West Ham United.
After finding an exquisite Korean pre match lunch venue, Mutton headed off on a sauna of an underground journey to Stratford station. And after some problems with his e-ticket, watched City come back from behind with a superb second half performance to overcome a spirited West Ham side to make it 5 wins in a row in the 2023/24 premier league season.

The London Stadium is pretty impressive , but sadly not suited to football, fans split between tiers that are at quite a distance from each other, leading to a poor atmosphere. Last time I remember there being bars and food stalls on the perimeter of the stadium being open both at the start of the game and half/full time with fans being able to spill out at half time within their section of the ground. What happened to these stalls? Having said that , the West Ham fans are a hospitable bunch and I look forward to my next visit. And doesn't Jeremy Doku look to be an exciting prospect. A winger who takes on his man!

Not a fan of kimchi cold, but, admittedly after quite a lot of beer, (from what I remember!), kimchi chahan is much more agreeable! Absolutely agree with you about the international breaks, both their length and frequency! West Ham had their chances, but on the balance of play, I think City deserved the win. Doku offers something different for City in attack, but Pep will be working on his defensive side. Great save from Ederson to keep it at 1-1. City looking like they're buoyed by CL success. Especially with the injuries, great start to the season. Looking forward to your next blogs. David James was saying Belgrade is a amazing football city, so wonder if you will be going there.

Yes I blame google maps who suggested that line meant a 21 minute walk when it was actually at the same station, I just checked again today and it’s suggesting erroneously that it’s a 1.6 km walk which ofc it isn’t

I agree that Ward Prowse was able to to pull away from his marker a bit easily.
