I have really enjoyed your videos. They have made me more excited for our trip than any others I've watched so far.

Glad you got nice weather. Rannoch moor is rather notorious for the opposite! I walked over the same path once in terrible weather, took a seat for some soaking wet lunch, left for Kingshouse and 3 miles later remembered I'd left my camera at my lunch spot and had to walk 3 miles back. Meant I walked 9 miles to cover 3 miles of the track! Not the best day... 😆

That beautiful weather was so fortunate - I commented on it at one point that it would be a completely different walk in the cold and rain. Also - having to backtrack on a trail is soul-crushing! 😂

Lovely video. Gorgeous scenery. Next time you are in the UK, try wainwright’s coast to coast walk.

Now you're getting me in trouble because that looks amazing. I have to figure out how to have enough time and money to make it happen!

Much of the path between Tyndrum and onwards over rannoch moor and beyond are known as military roads, they were built by general wade in the 1750s by order of the English government to transport troops quickly to the Scottish Highlands to quell any uprising of the Scottish clans.

I knew it was called the "old military road" but I didn't realize it was built after the Jacobite uprising - thanks for the info!
