I'm lucky to be a local. These are some of the best shots I've seen of the route. They really capture the atmosphere and spirit of the countryside. Four seasons in one day, most days. Splendid video.

I’ve walked some but not all of the west highland way as I live nearby the start of it. It was cool picking out what I knew. Great video! You did it justice.

Andy C May seems the ideal time of year for hiking in Scotland... before the midges come out!

Well Kat in 2015 you recommend the Portuguese Camino which I throughly enjoyed and so different to The Way through Spain. 2017 you again inspired me to walk the Kumino Kodo which was the Nakahechi Route. This year with my two family members we trekked the extremely difficult Kohechi trail. So now you have inspired me on another journey. Love it

Gregory Stegman Congrats on hiking the Kohechi, it’s definitely a challenging yet rewarding hike! I’d love to hear about your experience. The WHW should be on every walker’s bucket list as the terrain and scenery is so varied and beautiful and it’s easily accessible too. 😊

What an amazing video. I think we hiked the trail at the same time! We went in early July as well. Can I ask you what song you used in the video?
@followingthearrows6 жыл бұрын
Hi Mikkel, thanks for your lovely comment! The song is called 'Dance of the Druids,' by Bear McCreary and featuring Raya Yarbrough - it's on the Outlander soundtrack.
