Pollard is only good in the ipl T20 but not for the wi team, Gayle and Samuel's is the highest scorer. In the top wi batsman in the world top 50 in T20 world cup cricket ,with runs.

Do you see that Narine refuses to play for cwi management, because they are fraud. Although he knows that they are going to call him for throwing, plus they didn't treated him good at all. I strongly believe that Allen, Cotrrell, and Smith from Jamaica 🇯🇲 should be in the T20 world cup squad. If they have any chance to win the championship trophy competition, that is the way I see it. You need players who have the abilities to bat,bowled and field, people who can take catches win matches, ok.

Interesting choices While Chris Gayle is the #1 choice for opener, I feel that the 2nd opener must be either Evin Lewis or L. Simmons. I would also omit Hosein and Joseph. And controversially, I would choose Jason Holder over Sammy although I think Sammy was an inspirational leader. However, their batting stats are around the same but Holder is a much better bowler. But I won't argue with Sammy's selection. I think that Ravi Rampaul has been our most consistent quality pacer. My XI: 1. Gayle 2. Simmons 3. Pooran 4. Samuels 5. Pollard 6. Russell 7. Bravo 8. Narine 9. Holder 10. Badree 11. Rampaul

No need for Sammy as captain. There is already Bravo, Pollard and Gayle. Why are you analyst overrating an ordinary cricketer. Marlon Samuels won both WC. Carlos Braithwaite made an important contribution in the second victory. Sunil at the top of the order in WC? You are talking about IPL, right? Are you guys West Indians. Yea I agree, but Sammy's legacy as a leader is enough to be in the T20 team. He played a big part in the two T0 WC titles. His ability to get the team to play together is very underrated. Lendl Simmoms was a good player, but again didn't live up to his potential.

We'd still be inclined to go Alzari Joseph. At such a young age , he handled the pressure of international cricket and became the leader of this young West Indies Pace attack. I feel like he doesn't get enough credit.

While Narine deserves a spot in the team, not at the expense of a real and better #2. That spot belongs to Dwyne Smith. I even think that E.Lewis is ahead of Narine for that spot.

Where's Ravi? Superb in power play and solid in middle. Best pace bowler in 2012 WC between overs 1-15 according to espncricinfo analysis. I don't agree that Alzharri is good in PP. He is also unreliable in the death. He takes wickets at a high cost and seems to lack the temperament for t20 cricket ie. when he starts to get licks, too often he unravels and struggles to recover. Ravi in Alzharri out. Possibly Obed for Hosein to strengthen death bowling. Obed has guile and is also versatile, so he can bowl at any stage of innings.

Those are some good changes. Ravi Rampaul was a good bowler, but his fitness and lack of professionalism let him down. He had the talent to be one of Wsst Indies best, but never put in the work.

Lewis is on record one of our best ever openers. On form commited and fit he is dangerous. Rampaul is debatable as Joseph, Edwards, McCoy and Cottrel are vying for that spot. But he can use the new ball and bowl at the death. He can swing the new ball and he has the yorker for the death. Cottrel is best only with the newball. Josep can't bowl in the power play. McCoy is good in both power play and death. Pooran is better than Ramdhin with the bat altho not a better keeper. Simmons can do it all. He is like Samuels a super talented cricketer. He can open play in the middle order he can wk he is a brilliant fielder he plays spin and pace and bowls. Most versatile player ever. This team has 4 super fielders. The only thing missing is a captain. I guess Bravo he is one of the most successful odi captains in our history. Idk about t20. Best 12th man either Dwayne Smith or Fabien Allen. 2 super fielders.

Listening to you about the greatest T20 11 of all times, well you are entitled to your own personal opinions but. The facts still remains, it is the production of the players. That is how you should based the players them, Marlon Samuel's should be at numbers 2 ahead of Pooran. A batsman who takes the wi to win the championship trophies competition, he batted to the end of the games. That is what you guys should take into account, making runs in other games which is not necessary as the world cup championship trophy competition. The very first thing Narine is not an opener, he does not open in no real competition. You would called him a make shift opener, I would haveto go with Simmons ahead of all of them. If you cannot scores runs in the world like Gayle and Samuel's, you are not a very good player at all. What you haveto used bloggers to qualified the players them, if they are not in the top 50 players. They are below par,you cannot rated a player over players that is in the 50 or 10 all times players. Because they judged players by amount of runs and wickets, not everyone used it. As their main criteria for selection, that means, they are not going by the standing order. Pooran need to prove himself in the world and, helped take home the title. He has played in 2 T0 20 world cup championship trophy competition and failed miserable, until he proved himself in the world. Before he is getting any ratings from me,because it is the highest level of the competition.

@@thereversescoopUSA Fair. At the end of the day, how well someone captains is a difficult thing to assess as there is no stat that can measure the impact a captain had on a teams success. Personally, I wldnt put Daren Sammy in the team because I want everybody in my all time team to be justifiably in the team based on contributions with the bat or ball and I think Pollard wld do a good job as captain as well.(maybe not Sammy level but good enough to effectively capitalize on the strengths of players). All in all we can agree to disagree on this one 👍🏾

We can look at win loss ratio, big trophies won. Overall performance of the team during a captaincy stint. So, there are ways to measure the effectiveness of a skipper. However, if we look at crickets history, all great captains overcame some type of adversity and rose to the top, Imran Khan, Kapil Dev, and Clive Lloyd all won major championships and world titles. However, I do like the idea of Pollard, Gayle, or even Bravo captaining this side.

I wouldn't open with 2 spinners. Both taking the ball away from the bat. Sunil used at the top of the order leaves us a batter short. Bravo and Sammy have poor batting avgs. I wouldn't pick Sammy altho he is the best captain and his bowling figures are good. Econ rate 7.31 avg 25.4 but his batting avg is 17.4 and he is not a great wicket taker with 44 wkts in 68 matches. As he got older he bowled even less. You need a proper opener with Gayle either Lewis Simmons or Dwayne Smith.

Good afternoon your picks and reasoning are sound but no cricket knowledgeable will accept Sunil Naraine as an all time eleven opening batsman. The team should include Cottrell. With Badtee and Naraine l don't see the need for Hosein and Pollard is a highly overrated player. Maybe Ramdin should've been considered as the keeper as Pooran has yet to prove himself and Simmons as the other opening batsman. Keep them coming.

I strongly believe that Joseph is too much over rated bowler and, he is yet to prove himself. As Cotrrell is a far better T20 bowler than Joseph, because he always makes an early break through. When a bowler got wickets in the closing stages of the games, I would called those wickets consolation wickets . Because the batsmen them is going for the runs by playing some silly shots and got out.I don't consider those wickets as saying, that the bowlers them worked for it.I will select my all times 11 wi T20 players, of all times.

You all know that Joseph is not good as Sgt Cottrell in the T20 format, only because Viv Richards and Ambrose, also Andy Roberts is pushing him but. You guys know that he is not really good to,be in the all time greatest wi T20 team.He does not even have any protion of wickets,to prove himself.He has played into two T20 world cup tournament and failed miserable, I would like you guys give out his stats. What most of those people fail to understanding, that some of those people was not apart of the two world cups championship trophies competition. It is really hard to selected people who was apart of the 2 times successful teams.Some people does not understand the intricacies about cricket, whenever times you hear. Someone talking about averages, you know that they does not understand the intricacies of the games at all. Because you cannot put Lewis and Gayle, in the same category in batting. Not because Lewis may scored 2 T 20 hundreds as Gayle, but scored his in the world cup championship trophy competition. That is what this guy should realized, that Gayle is the greatest T20 batsman of all times. Based on his 22 centuries that he has, that puts in into a different category all by himself. A man with over 14,000 T20 runs, the very man to scored a hundred on his debut. So you guys should never put orange and pears together, averages comes by the amount of not outs. It will help you to have a better average, more than the leading scorer. Because the more outs a batsman have, it is the more his average dropped. This guy should realized, that Gayle is not only a T20 batsman, he is a very high caliber batsman in test,ODI and T20 cricket,ok.

Joseph is also very young we forget and he doesn't get hurt. He is committed to West Indies Cricket, and he will only get better with time and break lots of records. We predict Joseph will end up being one of West Indies greats by the time he hangs up his boots.

@@thereversescoopUSA the thing is he takes more wickets than all our t20 quick bowlers present and past. But not in the powerplay. So he is a puzzle. Of all the bowlers he has the highest econ rate of 8.88. Cottrell has the lowest with 8.13 and that is primarily in the powerplay. Alzarri bowls at the death so his econ rate will be high. But if its high in the powerplay you have a problem Also his avg is 28.4 the lowest avg is 21.4 McCoy. Your premiere pacer should be bowling in the powerplay and at the death. With your Narine bowling in the middle with Russel as DJ bowls at the death. So he throws off the balance of the greatest team. Actually McCoy is the best we have of all our previous pacers if you add econ rate and avg. And he bowls in the powerplay and the death. I'll probably have to agree with you on Alzarri by the rate at which he takes wickets and his fitness but who will open the bowling on the greatest WI t20i team if he plays? Probably Russel.

I would probably open with Joseph and Hosein, and use Badree and Narine in the power play as well. Remember in T20 a quality spinner can turn the game on its head.

That's a good suggestion. We thought about Dwyane Smith as well but not over Pollard. Pollard is a good T20 Finisher and can stay calm under pressure. Maybe Smith for Hosein?

I want you to looked at the games both of them played in the world cup and, tell me how did better. Pollard played better in the ipl more ,than the wi team. Even that Pollard has played more T20 cricket than Dewayne Smith and, he does not scored a century and Smith scored several. Pollard only lucky played with a better all round team in the ipl, that won the most championship trophies competition. Otherwise he was not a outstanding player as Gayle, Ade viller,Kohli, just to named a few of the most outstanding players in the ipl who never win a championship trophy competition.For the same team is at the bottom of the table, because they does not have the quality players as before, ok.

As you know the political landscape in cricket, and the pressure that comes with international cricket, sometimes hides the quality of a player. But over a long career, he served West Indies Cricket well in the capacity that he could, and he only got better with age.

All of them could be my son according to their ages,not saying that they cannot tell me something. Because they played on the international scene, which I never. I only played local cricket during my days, but I could hold my own in batting and bowling. I captain my team for years, I being an opener for my school and club team for years. I useto bowled paced then spin in my later days, when I got older. Also I did a big of coaching, umpiring also scorer,so I bin there and done that. The reason why most batsmen does not perform, because they are not technical skillful. Some people just born with natural gifts like Gayle, I have watched that young man batting from 1999 against Canada 🇨🇦 and. From the very time I saw him batting, I said to my friends them, that this guy has a very special talent. You need to go and watch his videos like what I does,a lot of times. He certainly a very great batsman, when you hear some of those people is saying. That he is lacking footworks, it is all nonsense, the batsman only moving towards the balls. If it is not coming on to you, then you haveto advanced to the ball to make your shots. Pollard only good in the ipl, he has played into couple of worlds cups and failed miserable, ok
