Can't see how this guy could say Worrell didn't have quality players. On the contrary, the man had a better balanced team than Lloyd. But I always felt that he - like Sobers - lacked a certain venom the later guys had in abundance.

Given that Malcolm Marshall continued to play test cricket until 1991 it seems very odd to not include him, not just on the list, but at number 1. The greatest fast bowler I have ever seen without doubt. Jimmy Anderson is ranked too low at number 8.
@thereversescoopUSA12 күн бұрын
Yea, he only played a few years in this era. But he can be number 1 in any all-time bowlers list. Such was his class.
@chrisobee828512 күн бұрын
For me, without doubt, I'd have Sobers, Lara and Richards as the top 3. You could really put them in any order, all amazing players. I was fortunate to see Gordon Greenidge play many times for Hampshire opening with the great Barry Richards. What an opening pair they were 😊

@@thereversescoopUSA Great question! I honestly can't really say, but I am sure there are others from the 50's and 60's who were better than Ben Stokes. I would give even give Jason Holder the nod over him, because Holder has a career double century in test cricket, or Carl Hooper!
@thereversescoopUSA15 күн бұрын
Yes, perhaps, but none that played such a key role in England's first World Cup win. Though Hooper is one of my personal favorites.

This guy is too young to be talking about certain aspects of cricket, because he has never seeing most of the players them played during their careers. Plus he is not going by the stats of the players them, then you should be put the in order according to their stats .Because when you looked at Jaques Kallis stats, he is far better than Sobers or and the rest of all - rounders. I have saw Sobers playing most of his career, until he retired from cricket. I know that you have a lot of cyber bullies out there who, doesn't like to hear the gospel truth at all. It is only stats of a player makes him great, a player cannot be great without having stats to proved his case.Even some of those players in that played in the 1930s and 40s , they shouldn't mentioned in with these present days players. Because they does only played test cricket only, while some of these players played in all 3formats of the games. You should selected the players by the years they played, because none of those players played 100 test matches comparing to these present players.

Another aspect of Kallis's brilliance is that he avoided the most number of collapses compared to his batting contemporaries at number 4 when he came to bat at junctures where South Africa lost two early wickets. Great video! 😊

Daniel Vettori deserves an honourable mention being one of only 4 players to take more than 350 test wickets and 4000 test runs (the others being Kapil Dev, Ian Botham, Imran Khan)

Who's your number 1 allrounder of all time?
@RaymondGrandison15 күн бұрын
Has to be Gary Sobers! Kalis was great, but that plateau of 365 N.O. in test cricket, until Lara stands alone. And for that, he must be by, any stretch of analysis, the "Greatest All-rounder ever!

@thereversescoopUSA I would say that the world number one test all - rounder batsman of all times, is Jaques Kallis. I watched both of them played test cricket for years and, I personally would haveto go with Kallis based on his stats .Sobers played 98 test matches and scored 8,032 runs throughout his career also 26 centuries highest 365 in 1958 at Sabina Park Kingston Jamaica 🇯🇲 against Pakistan 🇵🇰. I was a little boy 👦 in 1958 when Sobers scored his first test hundreds in test cricket. I am just mentioning a few all - rounders, Kapil Dev, Ian Botham, Richard Hadle, that should have talked about. If the bloggers them is not looking at the players stats to validated them, then he does not have any knowledge of what he is saying at all. You cannot disputed one stats, because it is a true facts about the players them efficiencies or performances and. If you are going to ignored what the players them did throughout their career, then you are not ready for the discussion or debates. I listened to this young man 👨 a few times making some comparisons with players and, he has no knowledge of what he is talking about the whole scenario.
@BlairBoyd-fs1xk13 күн бұрын
@@RaymondGrandison You are talking about Sobers 365 not and that making a better batsman than Jaques Kallis 13, 580 and 43 centuries also 250 wickets in test and 260 ODI wickets also 30 centuries to Sobers 8, 0032 with 26 centuries and 254 test wickets. Sobers only one or 2 ODI games because ODI cricket came in about 1971 to 1972 and, a lot of players back then. They just manage the ODI cricket games when it just came in, you haveto looked at both players times they played and. Their production and Jaques Kallis out performed Sobers in all formats of the games, I would like to asked this guy. If he was the captain and he has two players to picked from Sobers also Kallis, who would he choose from. I would rather go with Jaques Kallis than Sobers, because he is more consistent than Sobers. That is one factor you got to looked at, which player is more consistent in the team. There are several players scored triple centuries and so far, it is only 4 batsmen scored twice triple centuries in test cricket.

@@thereversescoopUSA The very best batsman I ever seeing in terms of batting abilities or techniques is Lawrence Rowe in cricket, he scored over 314 on his debut test against New Zealand at Sabina Park Kingston Jamaica 🇯🇲 in 1972 .I watched that test match from start to finished, when Rowe scored 214 in his first inning and 100 not out in his 2nd innings. It is now 52 years and that record is still standing, only because he didn't play test cricket too long.

Mitchell Johnson 10. Mitchell Starc 11. Brett Lee (just overrated, unarguably top 5 overrated cricketers of all time. if fact, you didn't even give any reason why you rate him so high other than bowling fast, which he didn't do very consistently, and adding to the team, which he didn't) 12. I’d put Shiv at 4, above Lloyd and Weekes. Sure, Lloyd had a larger than life impact, but purely as a batsman - naah, Shiv was better, grittier and dug it out there. Weekes, yes he was fabulous and had the aura of the 3Ws etc. etc. but doesn’t hold up in front of Shiv for sheer consistency over a much larger period of time in a constantly downhill side. So, yeah - Shiv after IVA, BCL & Sobers.
