I’m Liam Harrison, Bolton born and bred. I’m a lover of Golf, life and laughter.
Started Golf 12 years ago after packing in football when i was 28 due to a back injury.
I started the KZbin channel as a laugh and a Wim, to make me practice but that went out the window as i started vlogging, loving being on camera but more so the interaction with my #golfmates.
In 14 months i have seen the channel evolve and become the only real golf community on KZbin which i am extremly proud of.
I would like to thank all the #golfmates that have been with us and supported us and the channel from the start. Also not forgetting our new #golfmates that may have only just come across the channel.

I’m a junior, so a few years ago when I only had a 9,7,5 iron with a driver and a 3 wood. This was ok for my ability when I was off 36 but I noticed it does help a bit having 14 clubs, however you could probably get away with 10

I've played with 6 clubs for years and usually play close to my handicap. My handicap has been 36 for years.

10.5 degree driver, persimmon Louisville 4 wood, ancient Cobra Baffler 7W hybrid(the wood/brass head type...), Peerless Tierra 7 and 9 irons, some wedge or another, prehistoric Arnold Palmer blade putter.....entire arsenal of gear( 6 different woods, 3 wedges, irons 3 to 9, couple of putters, snazzy 70's Cobra bag) represents total investment: about $150.00 American.... I am proudly mediocre, and mad for the game! Have a great day, Golfmates! PS: nice work today, sir! On puts missed with flag left in : second example shown: yep. First one missed: looked like one of mine....comes in hot, hits back of cup, shoots straight up in the air about 2 ft.....about 20% of the time, it dramatically falls straight down into the hole! Yipee! ( about 80% of the time, it ends up God knows where....find ball, hit again.....) Cheers.

Thanks. Well done. You are a confident player. Recently I have been trying out 6 - 'clubs' (Driver, 5 wood, 5 iron, 9 iron, S wedge and putter). Enjoying it. A well experienced golfer (h 13) told me that he had taken part in competitions with only 2 clubs ! ie 9 iron and putter! Sky is the limit for innovation. God bless golfers.

Love this video Liam. I love the feeling when you're doing well in a round and you don't want to let yourself down. I only ever use 10 clubs and I still cant work out why I carry the other 4 around with me🤪. Sorry mate but I gotta say 82, I think you're gonna have 1 dodgy hole. Liam, My sincerest thanks and appreciation for the wholesome entertainment and the golf tips you and your golf mates provide. I'm 67 and have had 2 back surgeries but golf is still a great part of my life. I bought a ball retriever for my putter after I saw OMP use his and it was a godsend! Keep up the great work. And my guess is a score of 80.

My buddies and I do a 3 club scramble once a year here in Detroit. I normally take a 3 Hybrid, 7 Iron, and my putter. It's nice not having to lug around a bag full of sticks. Some crazy scenarios happen, but it helps with the overall golf game. As always , great video Liam! 82.

Fantastic Liam!! I think 79. Next time try 2 clubs. Sometimes i go speedgolfin.... 3 hybrid and a 50. No bag ,no putter. Hybrid is fine for putting. Fun and a big adventure!

I walk and carry driver, 5-wood, 5-7-9 irons, 52 wedge and putter. No hesitation on club selection. Lots of fun and I don’t miss the other seven!

Started to do the same just 7 clubs is all you need . As long as your playing ok . To be honest I'm only using 7 because I've just joined Elea in Cyprus and it's still in the late 30s so 7 is enough as I'm walking every round and played on Thursday and shot 79 +8 . So goes to show 7 clubs is plenty .

Love idea. Liam can you do same test rounds with different sets choose clubs with lofts as shown. set A lots of 20 30 40 50 60 deg plus putter, Set B 15 25 35 45 55 plus putter. Trying it here in Aussie now we are back again.

I play often with only 7 clubs. Driver, 5 wood, 5 hybrid, 7 and 9 iron, sand wedge and putter. Makes the game a lot easier.

I have a travel set to fit my wife's small car. It compromises a 14 degree GX7 driver( 3 wood length) which is surprisingly good and useful for low fairway shots. Cobra F7 adjustable Hybrids (set at 18 and 22) Then I have Milford Single length irons (6,8 PW, SW) . My putter is an extended shaft PowerBilt mini mallet. It is really fun to work out how to get the shots you need to get around the course. Liam, you are funny no matter if you try to be or not! Score estimate = 84

All considered Liam, you’re having a blinder 1 erratic drive and you’ve got a double bogey, so being +4 after 9 with 7 clubs is great. I’m going to have to say I think you’ll get an 80 purely because the wind may be a bit difficult coming back in. Looking forward to the next 9.

I often carry only 8 to 11 clubs! 20 degree to 50 degrees of loft is where I keep bag. Me and my friends dont play from the back tees! Cheers

I think you can shoot 76. And yes you can easily play with only 7 clubs; i've been doing it for a few years and notice little difference in my score when i use my full 14 club set or my 7 club half set. Great video, one of your top 5 ever.

Another good one Liam! I think less clubs would make one concentrate more on the shot, so it might help a hacker like me. As for your putt; it looked to me like it lipped out. I don't think the flag affected it but I have been know to be wrong! 6 over.

Unlucky / lucky - that is the question!!!! West Lancs is a no excuses course Liam - love it or hate it it tests all of your game! Great course - scenery - cost is the only negative. Good start, tailed off and then brought it back - keep it going

Great video Liam! Love this concept! I just took a few clubs out of my bag yesterday because of pure frustration... For the life of me I cannot hit the long irons or a hybrid... Definitely need some tips and more practice... You're only 4 over after 9... In my book that's fantastic!... But I know you want a lower score... You'll make it up on the back 9 with some birdies... Originally, I said 82, but just looked up the course scorecard. Revising to 81. Didn't realize it was a par 71. Good luck, mate. You're playing well. I usually like the odds better than the evens when playing a half set.

West Lancs looks awesome. My guess for the gross score is 7 over. Probably think you can do it easily without the driver. Good luck and look forward to the next video.
