I won the vector-borne disease lottery this year by first getting lyme disease (specifically, neuroborreliosis plus babesia and bartonella co-infections), followed by west nile virus toward the end of my treatment. For whatever reason, the cases in my state are neuroinvasive. Long story short, getting a double dose of neurological issues SUCKS. If you don't die, you'll end up wondering why you haven't, followed by fervent prayers that you wish you would-- so be safe out there, everybody!
