Maybe not. I was in Moscow aboard a river ship on July 4, 2011 when we had a flag raising ceremony aboard while the Russian crew members saluted our flag as the passengers sang the National Anthem as the accompanying music was played over the speakers. I had a Russian guide to tell me that it was a chilling moment for her and she thought that the US should be proud of their patriotism. A moving moment indeed!

It is truly unfortunate, that most people in the United States have never heard the complete national anthem. I firmly believe that when the military, performs the national anthem they should not perform the short version, but it should always be done with the long version, And always the whole national anthem should be used for presidential inaugurations. When the national anthem is used on the Fourth of July or Veterans Day it should also be the full version.
