Where do we start, good news it's looks great in the glass. Shame it's not a stout and 330ml bottle is a no no for me unless it's over 7%😂. Got to say Graeme your Beer knowledge is excellent which puts many others reviewers to shame. I much prefer a decent dark lager than UK lagers and crappy hoppy crafty beers, cheers👍🍺

I agree with you, a 330ml bottle annoys me. It did look nice and I can enjoy a dark lager easier than a light one. But unfortunately this just isn't a stout. My knowledge is down to this channel and research because of this channel. It's been a good learning curve for me. Your knowledge is up there with the best and of course your experience of beers long since lost. Which must be the saddest part. Cheers Dave 👍🏻🍻🙂

@thebarmenreviews the Marstons dropping 8 of their cask range doesn't bother me too much cos they're are mainly beers from shut down breweries ( jennings/ringwood) and are shadows of them former selves. The one that I'm sad to see go is Banks Mild. Brewed for 150 years, same place, never altered. A genuine light mild. But hey let's all drink alcoholic fruit juices🍺😀

I am with you on that one. The Bank's Mild is a nice beer. Sad to see that go, the rest were there in name only, they had really already left. But what should we expect from Carlsberg, they can make fruity alcopops that have never even seen fruit. But it's also another reason for pubs to stop using casks ale and go down the keg route. Which is the saddest thing.

Never been a fan of darker German beers. Or dark lager in general tbh.

I don't mind them, they are OK. I would prefer a stout, especially if I have bought the product as a stout. So, this is a disappointment to us both! Cheers 🍻🙂

@thebarmenreviews their purity laws don't mean much either when you look at them closely. One thing I will give them is the quality of their macro beers is very good. Like Lowenbrau, huge brand owned by a multinational but still a great beer imo.

Their big breweries are better than ours, that's for sure. The German macro beers are enjoyable, I can't say that about the UK equivalents. Cheers 🍻🙂
