I dunno but it looks in hindsight to me, like BC had a low intensity locker room revolt over the ascension of Rourke over Adams...just seemed like the team was all over Adams and into playing for him but perhaps some felt it was a raw deal for Rourke to come back and get annointed like he did - probably with lots of pressure from the league, wanting to have a canuck qb to showcase? Just thinking out loud...speaking of loud hope the blue faithful can be louder than those rider fans were for this one....go bombers

As a Vancouverite, I hope the lions keep losing every game and stop blocking the great city of Vancouver from getting an NFL team. Only tiny markets give af about the CFL.

If Vancouver were to get an NFL team, playing in BC Place would instantly put them in the smallest stadium in the league. A new stadium would cost well north of a billion dollars. Are the city and/or province going to pay any of that when its existence would jeopardize the future of BC Place? Next, there's the cost of a team. The average franchise value is about $3.5 billion, converted to Canadian would currently be $4.8 billion. That cost has to come from a person, not a corporation. This is all assuming Seattle doesn't mind someone cutting into their fan base. In the end, most professional sports leagues don't infringe on other domestic sports leagues. The reason the MLB and NBA were allowed to expand to Canada was because we didn't have our own domestic professional leagues. Our home-grown basketball and soccer leagues formed after the Canadian teams were already added to the U.S. leagues. The only way the NFL will ever expand here is if the CFL folds first.

why ? NFL is boring asf if the people in Vancouver don't find CFL entertaining the NFL wont fare any better in fact probably worse cause its boring asf and over priced you could argue things in CFL are over priced, but at least its not boring and you get your moneys worth. To put it simply between the 2 CFL= the love of the game NFL= the love of money/fame. That's why the NFL is referred to as the "No Fun League"

@@eibbor171 The NFL would sell out. Vancouver is a big stage type place. Those things excel in Vancouver. The NFL was referred to as the " no fun league" when they penalized dancing in the end zone and other such taunts, didn't have anything to do with the on field play.
