The PRT (Personal Rapid Transit) was built in the 1970’s when my parents were in school at WVU, which has two campuses across the town. It is mostly used by students to go between both campuses. I never had to take it when I was in school as all of my stuff was in the downtown campus. My dad took it regularly because he lived downtown but was in engineering school.
@ShadoeLandman Жыл бұрын
When I went to WVU, it was considered four campuses: downtown, engineering, medical, and law, but none of them are so far apart from the rest to really need to be called another campus, and there are other buildings scattered between them, so I guess it's mostly a matter of the branding at the time.

"Take me Home, Country Roads" was originally written and composed by Bill Danoff and Taffy Nivert of the Starland Vocal Band. John Denver heard it and wanted it, prompting them to not sell the song to Johnny Cash. Denver them worked with them writing the bridge to the song and included locations from Virginia in the song.

The monorail system's like that one, and the people mover in Detroit are practical for inner city travel, but not very good for longer distances due to slower speeds. Thier slower speeds are due to a lack of a driver, and if memory serves correct, the electric rail system is also currently limited. The String is a parody of an old movie called The Sting.

Its a disgrace that they are doing that… The Rockafire Explosion shouldnt be associated with fnaf, because fnaf essentially RUINS the image of The Rockafire Explosion. Fnaf has murderous robots walking around thanks to dead children possessing them. The Rockafire Explosion is a TRUE animatronic band, as it runs on air cylinders, valves, hinges, playback boards, and a reel to reel tape deck. They dont murder people and never will…

That Personal Rapid Transit "Morgantown MonoRail" looks like something out of a parallel timeline. You do need to check out the movie The Ghost and Mr. Chicken!!! It is a total classic. Our family saw it at the drive-in around 1965 when I was a young kid cuz my Dad loved Don Knots n Andy Griffith so much so we had to see the movie when it first came out!!! Saw it many times since n it still holds up to this day!!! The phrase Attaboy, Luther came from this movie, cuz there was always a dude in the crowd whenever they met for a town decision that said Attaboy- n Luther aka Don Knots, was voted to go into the towns local murder/haunted house where they could see the organ keys playing themselves n still see the blood stains from the murderers hands on the keys, though they tried to clean them "And they used Bon Ami"" a cleanser that professed to clean away ANY stubborn stain no matter what, thus the creepy haunting of the blood on the keys keeping on returning!!! Bothe phrases were began and still very popular in my generation that's left today, cuz the movie was THE must see back then!!!! " Luther kept going in to the house no matter how he was chased out to write an article for the paper, hence, Attaboy, Luther!!!Never say die!!! I still use Attaboy to this day when complimenting someone's tenacity, like I do to you, Carpetbagger!!!! Yes, "The Incredible Mr. Limpet" is when Don Knots turns into a fish due to his love of fish. Another excellent one that UTube puts on free every so often which is excellent is "The Shakiest Gun In The West", in which he is a dentist going West to help people out there who have no dentists or doctors yet, n he gets shotgun weddinged to a government agent who is gorgeous to try n catch gun runners supplying the Indians, n he is a riot!!! "The Apple Dumplings Gang is another classic Western comedy as well.
