Gotta commend you, here. Very, very few folks that I've seen - be they Natl Media or regional pod guys who focus on one program or one conference - have done such an in-depth look at Greene and why he's poised for a monster year. I appreciate this type of thing.

Thanks so much. This is our 4th installment of this series...they're a beast to research/produce but we're finding the ultra-thorough, deep-dive approach at a topic is something college football fans crave in this aggregate/pump something out daily media world. So again, thanks for the kind words.

Great video! I appreciate you being unbiased and providing an honest, fair breakdown. Haven’t seen too many of those in recent weeks. I expect WVU’s passing game to improve with personnel continuity from last year along with the addition of two P4 WR transfers who have produced at their previous schools, respectively. If the passing game improves its efficiency and the running game remains as productive as last year, then WVU can absolutely give PSU a real scare and potentially win if the ball bounces their way a couple of times.

I've seen a lot of people say they did research, but this is one of the few times it was actually true. This is a better analysis of Greene than a lot of WV media has done (with the exception of Jed Drenning on the In the Gun podcast). A bit off on understanding the Neal Brown offense, but that's common. It's the difference between what he would like to do and what he has the players to do. If you look at the second half of 2023, that's close to being "the Neal Brown offense," but it was still tweaked a bit by Greene's issues with the short to intermediate passes. Also, Brown does work with Greene on "control," getting him to understand when to stick with the play and when to improvise. It's a tough balance, and that's part of why Greene didn't emerge until last year (especially the second half). One of the big things about Greene is that the entire team would run through a wall for him, then get up and do it again. Many people thing WVU has no chance against PSU, but I'm expecting an epic game.
@ForTheBlogy2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the additional context on Brown's offense. And yes, even from a distance, it's apparent Greene has an infectious personality...very Baker Mayfield-like at Oklahoma.

Great breakdown. I really appreciate someone actually doing the work and not just saying well its penn state, of course they will win. I'm not saying WVU will win but to act like they have absolutely no shot without even looking into them at all, (like they are some fcs team) like some other videos I have seen. You earned a sub in my book.

On top of all that, a majority of his WRs were freshman. They brought in two more 6’2”+ receivers from the portal on top of all the young talent he already had. They should be really good this season

Penn State has struggled with mobile QBs in the past. I expect they’ll have their hands full with WVU’s skill guys. Gotta win at the LOS and lean on a reconstructed secondary that I think *could* be better than the ‘23 group, despite losing three pro-caliber corners.
@scarcheer72112 ай бұрын
The cold nights in Morgantown aren’t in the Adirondack Mountains. Those are in New York. We are in the Appalachians which has several different sub names. Otherwise pretty factually sound analysis.

I mean #11's coverage on that play at 6:23 was abysmal you think Penn St gonna cover like that? I think not!
@socialhax58242 ай бұрын
This was a very well put together video on what his numbers represent. Everyone looks at that 53% at face value without looking at how his numbers are they way they are. They don't mention the low INT rate, BTT%, Avg throw downfield. So good job in actually looking at this QB. IDK if we will beat penn st. BUT GG will make it a game. He was also one of the best at 2min offense. @couzscorner

@ForTheBlogy no problem! I personally think the key will be wvu D vs penn st O... I think Penn st could have a tough time getting going with a new system. IF that happens is how wvu would win. My opinion.
