Dear Rohit your videos are awesome and I follow it regularly. Mr. Sen is also a highly respected, capable & visionary person. My one question is why in New Town are hawker shanties cropping up here and there selling paan, beedi, maggi, ghugni etc. Is it desirable in a nex-gen smart city?? Glitzy ofc towers and IT parks have horrble looking hawker shanties in its proximity is found nowhere in India then why is it happening here? On whose authority do these hawkers operate? Why NKDA is not making community markets in different sectors of newtown and remove these ugly looking shanties?? These questions need to be asked as well.

Newtown তৈরি হবার পর থেকে পার্শবর্তী গ্রামীন অন্চলের মানুষদের জন্য প্রচুর কর্মসংস্থান ঘটেছে।। শিক্ষিত মানুষদের জন্য অনেক offical কাজের সুযোগ হয়েছে যেটা আগে ছিলোনা ।। খোলা মেলা গ্রামীন পরিবেশ সঙ্গে শহড়ী যুযোগ সুবিধা এটাই এখন newtown পার্শবর্তী মানুষদের জীবনযাপন এবং আমিও তাদের মধ্যে একজন ।। Rohit da newtown এ কোনো রকম প্রয়োজনে দরকার পরলে জানাতে পারো তোমাকে help করতে পারলে খুশি ই হবো।।

One question you missed that is - Kolkata airport is nearby so there is restriction in high-rise building. How this problem had been tackled. Further we have seen town planner plans a city with some concept keeping open space etc. But most of the fringe minded people who take up the management afterward don't honour the concept of open space and sell the open space for construction. This we have seen in central park of Saltlake where the concept of Hude park has been shattered by construction wearhouse and metro parking etc. Also enrichment of open space by people supported by political parties. Putting big eyesore holding or pasting poster and writing slogan on the public building etc. Now how this problem can be tackled. To keep the modern look encroachment is to be restricted. We appreciate and give full credit for his visionary guidance giveing a modern look to Newtown but there are person who don't have exposures of modern city will spoil the whole concept of planning.

Ropeway was a hoax and no one is interested in monorail after failing in mumbai. LRT will be in new town for sure and let's hope the old tram system in Kolkata will also be replaced by modern LRT
