These are the girl's powers (In a very recaped way): -Anne: Empathic ability (Can access to other people's thoughts if she touches them) -Sasha: Too much strength -Marcy: Impeccable inteligity Other things I found about the comic: -The girls have some sort of Music Boxes, maybe used to teleport into Amphibia -Sprig and Polly of this AU look very similar to their (Canon) future looks.

A nice alternate story about Anne, Sasha, and Marcy all having super powers in school. Although, Anne, Sasha, and Marcy did have super powers in the original story, even if Sasha and Marcy had limited use of their powers in comparison to Anne. Marcy having enhanced intelligence and using that to win at chess does seem right for, especially if she was in the zone. Sasha having super strength and using that to be the star football player also seems in character for her, at least before she went to Amphibia. Anne seems to be the only one who doesn't use her power for personal gain, which is supposedly reading people's hearts. It seems like this alternate story of Amphibia acknowledges what happened in the series, while having a different future for the calamity trio, where they actually stay together. It's a nice story.

I think I know how Marcy's winning. If Marcy's playing white you can see she has three pawns on the first rank (an impossibility) and the board is 7 spaces wide (which makes no sense since chess boards are 8x8). Now, she could be playing alternate reality crazy chess, but I like to think she has no idea how to play even with the hyper-intelligence, is making up rules as she goes along, and gathered a bunch of students who have no idea how chess rules work just for the sake of beating them.
