Could Steven Universe Defeat The Calamity Trio?

I’d like to point out that Steven was training with his powers from around 13-16 years old. He had about three years of training, while for the calamity trio, Sasha and Marcy only had their power for about a few minutes, while Anne only had her powers for a few months. I bet they could have been a lot stronger had they have more time.

You also have to consider that Steven had been training his powers more so for support, it was only recently so to speak that he discovered what else he could do with his powers. With that in mind he doesn't have much combat experience regarding his pink state, at most in base he has a proficiency with things like shields and his bubble boxing gloves

We saw the max scale power they could have and that was with all the power concentrated in one person who barely handled the moon sized threat. Steven bodied both Lapis and the Cluster simultaneously and easily in his full power monster form. Even at their most powerful they can’t hurt him. I’m sorry but despite looking like super sayian blue Amphibia is not Dragon Ball. Second note Anne’s powers hurt her every time they were used so even if they could get stronger they couldn’t handle it

I have been greatly considering this match up since Amphibia's end. Mainly Steven vs Anne. I look at both their powers and really when you look close they almost seem matched. Steven can basically heal himself, create barriers of various sizes and shapes, fly/float, shapeshift, can scream so loudly it crumbles buildings (maybe more), create sentient plants and move so fast that time moves at a crawl. Steven is almost basically a god with these powers. Anne meanwhile doesn't show much of what she is capable of, but considering her powers are literally a fraction of a god's power I can imagine she can do as much, if not more than Steven. That said, the powers Anne has shown is super strength, durability, speed, flight, energy manipulation, psychokinesis, can possibly cut things with her mind and possibly a healing factor. Anne took hits that would normally splatter a person or put them on the mend for a long time, but she either shrugged it off or was better by next episode. Her arm was broken by the toads in Toad Tax and by next episode she was fine. Both are excellent combatants. Steven uses his shield and knows how to box. Anne is a master swordswoman and also knows MuayTai. It's actually a fun idea to see them fight because it's sword vs shield and both of them can enter close quarter combat when those fail. Ultimately, with what we know, yeah I think Steven would win this fight. He just has more advantages and Anne has limitations to her powers. Even without those limitations, I still think she wouldn't win. Full on control of her powers though? Again, her powers are basically god powers, so who knows how much more powerful she can truly be. I'm probably just going over everything VGMarkis says, plus or minus a few details, but this is a matchup that I've been thinking about for some time. It's just such a cool idea and fun to theorize.

Also to add on, I believe steven had training too for longer which is a big advantage for strategy. anne with her sword could’ve just trained for a day or even a couple of months. And a bonus, Steven trained along with Connie who can also use swords well, so therefore Steven has had experience with sword training, though I suppose that’s all more about skill.

Steven trained with pearl and jasper and have years of experience while the calamity trio doesn't come close to 1 year. You seen how durable not only Steven is but his barriers. Seems like his form thrives on anger just like pink diamonds outburst assuming this fight would most likely happen after Steven universe future. So therefore if Rose's shield isn't strong enough, it will break from the amount of power they had to deflect. Note that it was THREE diamonds that launched the attack. If pink was actually there with the coordinated attack, it's definitely plausible it was supposed to be a planetary scale destruction

And Anne moved so fast she turned INVISIBLE to him. Which is a FTL+-MFTL feat. And you gotta understand not only did Anne have 33% of her power when doing this, but she’d have the synergy buff of the other girls. Meaning that she’d be 9x more powerful. You could argue she had to draw some of the power from the gem. But even than that wouldn’t stop the fact that she’d still be able to blitz him. With full power, and less.

@@rest1585 Well no, as during Future, Steven was moving so fast that time slowed to a crawl, this would mean he's not only surpasses FTL reaction, but is moving at or is faster than light himself, as according to physics. So they definitely aren't blitzing Steven, even with a 9x amp, mainly due to Steven basically doing Flash Time. Also also, yes, the shield is automatic, or at least seems so. Earlier seasons of Steven Universe have his bubble appear sometimes when Steven was in danger, however it was a bit inconsistent, since Steven didn't really know how to use his powers yet. Finally, moving fast enough to become invisible isn't per se moving FTL, it's size based. You can't see a bullet after it's in flight, but a train moving the same speed will be very visible. Though I'm not too sure about the math on it tbh

@@natexeon9957 Ftl speed is nothing compared to the trio. Anne can far exceed the speed of light already. She’s already faster than Steven in true colors, she’s still faster now. Also she’s much bigger than a laser (which Andrias can see no problem, as proof he blocked them in his backstory.) yet Andrias couldn’t see her, to achieve this she’d already have to far exceed light speed. She’s bigger than a laser, obviously. Again being a Ftl+-MFTL speed feat. Not to mention she’s amped up 9x. Just the fact alone how she’s able to move instantly to his perception. Should be MFTL. As Ftl+ would simply be blur speed. It’s like in real life, if a baseball was flying at 35 miles you’d see it, if a car was moving at 350 miles you’d see it. No? If Anne is the car and the baseballs is the laser the car/Anne would have to be moving much faster than 10x the speed to be invisible. She’s significantly bigger than it yet remains invisible. I used 35 mph as the example based of how quick the lasers move in comparison to the characters. How would Stevens shield even activate if he wouldn’t know he’s in danger? By the same logic as Andrias he wouldn’t see her, wouldn’t even know where she was. It appears to be he ‘insta shields’ subconsciously as a reflex he doesn’t have a magical force protecting him from all danger, he shouldn’t be able to shield if he can’t see them in the first place. Plus Steven only gets faster when he actually uses his super speed, unlike the trio he’s not already that fast. It’s something he’d have to activate, he still has ftl Perception at best, meaning he’d still get blitzed.

Base Steven wouldn’t be able to survive their attacks, I mean when you looks back at the clips the creatures the core summoned were the size of mountains. If they coordinated their attack they’d be able to kill base durability Steven.

Steven's shield alone is planetary level defense. He can definitely outbox them unless anne's final calamity attack can somehow bust through his impenetrable defense and shatter his gem. The Calamity trio lacks defense so they'd have to avoid stevens attacks which I doubt any of them can do for very long. Steven solos! high diff

The thing is, Stevens powers are perfectly suited to outlasting opponents. Many enemies wouldn't be vulnerable to this strategy, like mech Andrius, but Anne definitely is. Even if her form doesn't have a time limit, she can be exhausted more directly, and she has to essentially one shot Steven. That's... Not gonna be easy. And a lot of people are actually skipping out on a pretty useful ability- bubbling other things. While Anne doesn't have a form to be bubbled permanently, just throwing one over her again, and again, and again, and again, with the force of her own attacks contained by the bubble to rebound on her? Devastating strategy.

Sasha was able to pull and hold Barrel’s hammer, hold her own against Anne in combat(although they were pretty close all the time), and defeat two herons with her bare fists and cheerleading

I personally think it would come down to speed. Steven pretty much beats the trio in any other category except for Iq and Speed (agility, etc.) including all forms. Even if Steven could perceive the speed of light itself. Remember what Anne did to Andrias? Andrias could react to lasers, and she still managed to move so fast he couldn’t see her. This speed Is around Ftl+-MFTL. So I feel it would be more than enough to blitz, before he could put barriers up or get into one of his more, sturdy forms.

What if i told you that we can get Steven way higher then that? Lapis lazuli was able to travel to another galaxy in 14 days(which is an 138 times ftl), the chad which we call jasper was able to catch her mid flight, and as we all know in the later episodes, chaden chadiverse folds jasper and lowkey blitzed her. Beating taller women's cheeks, he is truly his father's son.

Power scaling of Steven Strength: in the steven universe movie, he was able to life the injector after his powers where weakened Speed: A speeding roller coaster can go up to 128 MPH and steven(in his pink form) was able to make it go slow motion, in order to move that fast, you must be going at around light speed and no kidding is around 299,792,458 m/s, I don't think he was going that fast but still Durability: he smacked his head on something going light speed and came to a instant stop skills: bubble, shield, flight, instant regeneration, healing, super speed, super strength, fusion. I think to a point steven would also match them and be greater than them in speed. We literally see steven multiple times move so fast everything's in slow motion, of course we don't rightly see this a lot but it's something to consider since nothing else can move as fast as steven while in this state, even jasper who we see in the clip above roll in slow motion in mid air while steven is briskly running. I think that's something to consider since it's pretty unnoticed by a lot of people

More steven feats: Remember when the yellow diamond spaceship in season one literally exploded with jasper still in it (she was still able to get up and fuse with lapis and only had scratches). Even before that, she got thrown into the ship's core by Garnet. And thats just SEASON ONE jasper. We all know how much she trains and how much stronger she got from that time to SUF. lapis also lifted the entire earth's ocean into the air and was still able to fight all the crystal gems at once. The cluster was said to be able to destroy the earth and keep destroying more planets as it goes 🥶 Steven was still able to easily overpower all of them

I love both these shows so much (Steven universe is my favorite show and anphibia is my second) so I’ve thought about this a few times. I think it would be more fair if it was just a 1v1 with Steven and Anne because having three of them just adds more variables. Anne pretty easily beating andrias is a good basis for her power level I think so if it were up to me this would be the data. Anne wipes Steven seasons 1-5 but pink Steven in the finale holds his ground and wins as he’s pretty much the same as Anne but with more composure. Steven would be able to compete with anne in his basic future form but would ultimately get defeated. Now basic future pink Steven (I’m not great at coming up with form names) would hold his ground and I think would probably end in a draw. Buff Steven would probably win after a hard battle just because he has so much raw power and anger. And finally I think corrupted Steven would win if Anne was alone but would get subdued if she had others. Honestly I would see Anne and Steven being good friends if they interacted as they stood for a lot of the same things and were both pretty chill. These were just some of my thoughts sorry if this was really long

Stevens best feat in the non monster state is killing jasper, who at best is a warrior able to fight up to scale of garnet (Garnet herself only having really building level feats, though SU was never a fighting show so this is debatable.) Anne is EASILY city level in her basic calamity state, and goes far beyond that in her super duper whatever armor state. Able to casually 1 shot multiple sky scraper tall robots. And hold back the moon [The moon not only being pushed by the core it's self, but also being effected by the planet's gravity with how close it was. And there are multiple scenes of the trio "Starting to push it back" only to falter when the core puts more force into it.] Anne alone makes Steven her bitch in every form he uses, outside of the monster form which is planetary due to statements about the cluster, but even then Anne could easily outspeed the monster and in her white form simply 1 shot it. Annes time limit also is far greater than around 5 minutes seeing as how her right with andrias took long enough for multiple plans to be made and executed with the forces down in the city. I just think about it like this, it took three people to take down the end villain of amphibia but it took all the gems and diamonds to take down Steven and even then it was temporary. If Steven gets though his emotional barrier and conquer his powers idk what the 3 girls could do.
