Jeremy lost his own momentum twice willingly. 1) He called a time-out when he led by 11-10. 2) In the 5th game, he caught up by 8-10, then he tried to slow down and made his opponent waiting for at least 30 sec. After that, the odds turned against him.

He lost his nerve.

I was thinking exactly this... what the heck is he doing calling a timeout at 11-10 for match point?!?! He gives his opponent time to think, time to regroup, time to calm down. It's basically throwing!!! I really think this was Jeremy's match to lose. He worked himself pretty hard here.

I love battle of the sexes matches in table tennis. Female victories are common even at the highest level and Juan won deservedly here. Bring it on in the Olympics I say!

No reason not to. The Chinese women's team train with the men's team and give as good as they get. Juan Liu, who won this tournament, has beaten Olympic level male players many times.

The 20 year old Canadian Singles men's entry at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics lost to the 36 year old American Singles women's entry at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. What does that say about the state of table tennis in Canada?

Wow is right, a great adjustment by Juan who struggled early on in the match!

Do you have semi ?

Yes, will be uploaded in a day or two. Both of them.

@@TTNetworkUSA I do not know other people's view on that, but I personally would prefer, if you uploaded the semis first and the final afterwards. Because the way it is now you already know who is going to win the semis just by the name of the video from the final. I hope you understand what I mean :) Of course that is your decision. Here you got my personal thoughts on that. If you can understand it you probably might consider doing that in the future. As stated it kind of reveals the outcome of the semis.

She's back! Dip in form recently but Juan proved her that she's still a class act. Fourth time winning at Westchester proving there's little or nothing between the genders in table tennis.

Someone should have told the dude to stop looping slow and high. She kept smacking it back over and over and over again.

Juan's brutal forehand is going to destroy anything that sits up. He played to her strengths too often in this match. It's hard to avoid popping her tricky short serves back up though. Overall, she outplayed him and deserved the win.
