We wouldn’t recommend it, as it would be pretty fast. But you can try it and see if you like it :)

What other songs do people do this dance to???
@westcoastcountrydancing6 жыл бұрын
TONS of songs go to this dance! That's one of the reasons why it's so popular. A couple of other popular options are "Dust" by Eli Young Band, "Beer in Mexico" by Kenny Chesney.

@@westcoastcountrydancing Can you share some more songs? I want to teach this dance at my wedding but I'm not a fan of any of the songs listed.
@coralmrodriguez2 жыл бұрын
@@SusanShain yes! Try: Getaway Truck - Aaron Watson When It Rains It Pours - Luke Combs Sharp Dressed Man - ZZ Top Those are all slightly different tempos, so hopefully one of those fits your needs! If you don’t like any of those let me know and I will send you some more

Holle, would someone like to say the name for the music, so that l could practise with music, thank you

This song used is “Dust” by Eli Young Band. But you can do this line dance to many different songs! If you want a different one try “Getaway Truck” by Aaron Watson!

after the jazz square you're supposed to hop forward to end the dance.
@westcoastcountrydancing7 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the input! Not everyone hops in our home area (especially older people who can't), but some people do - we encourage everyone to do whatever they're comfortable and happy with! Hopping looks cute and fun!

Your tutorials are really good :) It's easy to follow your steps and learn to dance the "Power Jam". But there is something I don't understand: Normally the songs are longer (time) than the time you need to face all four walls once. Do you just continue with the steps until the song has ended or do you just stop, if you have faced every wall once (even if the song's not finished yet)? I'm really a bloody beginner. ;)
@coralmrodriguez6 жыл бұрын
Hi there! yes, you just continue in the same direction repeating it until the song ends! So you'll end up doing each wall a few times. Thanks for watching!! You'll get better - just keep practicing! =)
