It was great to hear the SEN commentary because the Channel 7 commentary team were obviously barracking for Collingwood and seemed to get more excited by Collingwood's goals than West Coast's. It was an unforgettable win and one we will never forget. A big cheerio to Robert Walls too!

One of the greatest days. Probably ever. Schofield might have been fortunate but the Eagles were fortunate for his performance. Can't single anybody out. This win was about persistence. Bad starts collectively and personally could have buried teams and players but every man stuck at it. What a team! Thanks guys.

What a great video and what a great day that was. I love how all the Victorian pundits have already written off the Eagles to go back to back. Not one commentator on Fox Sports has picked the Eagles to win either. LOL They all forget one thing...the Eagles have a very large group of players who would get a game in ANY of the other clubs, many more than any other team. Imagine being able to acquire Josh Kennedy (2x consecutive Coleman medalist) or Luke Shuey (Simpson medalist) or Jeremy McGovern (All-Australian defender) or Nic Natanui or Tom Barrass or Louis Jetta or Jack Darling or Elliot Yo or Willie Rioli or Andrew Gaff...it goes on and on. Any of those players(and more) would walk into any club in the AFL. They are a team of stars and have a damn good chance of winning the AFL Premiership of 2019...especially if Nic Natinui can comeback in Round 4-5 and regain his brilliant form of last year prior to being injured. C'mon Eagles!

Never say never ! Should have ? Could have ? Or what if. As Ron Barassi quoted , many are called, yet few are chosen. Being in the Eagles nest , as a player, at an elite level against the best players gee what a thrill. Collingwood what an formidable and respected opponent. To think the bounce of the ball can be a game changer. Each Eagle player interviewed said the same thing, they believed , and they never said never. Knowing together they had done all the hard work prior no short cuts. Then building ,and maintaining the belief ,when it really countered , that was the Eagles nest in 2018 . Always focused on its prey till the final siren, Band of brothers.

With regards to the famous play (i.e. Gov's mark, kicks to Vardy, Vardy to Ryan and then to Sheed ... Sheed goals, we cheer, drink copious amounts of booze) We've all watched it dozens of times however I've just come to realise the importance of Vardy's role in that play. As a tall, he would have been expected to mark a long bomb coming in however he made the best decision to lead up to Gov when he had old mate ex freo reject pitted against him. Smart lead, good work and kick to Ryan ,,,,,,, that's it ... my belated point. BTW ... I've had a few beers:) Go Eagles!

This will go down within years if not decades as one of the most amazing Grand Finals of the modern era. Collingwood was expected to win by 12 goals and they lost by less than a kick. McGovern’s mark lit a fire in the Eagles as did Sheed’s goal from an impossible angle. I was at a pub in Las Vegas and there were about twenty people from Australia and some were wearing West Coast jumpers cheering for West Coast to win.
