Are the Ring and pinion gears on the stance sintered metal gears or machined metal?

The way you put the video together was just as impressive as the truck. Great job Logan, from the comments I read I see a lot of folks getting great information on how to be a better driver and the more technical aspects of line choice/truck placement, tuning etc.. I enjoy the vibe from the WDW team. Have a great 2024.. cheers 👍🇦🇺

Awesome vid! I have a semi built out Phoenix, but have really been thinking of the carbon and outfitting a rig that way. Now I have a 3rd option with this video. Option #1. Stick with my Phoenix and kit it out more. #2. Build out a carbon. #3 Build out a Stance rig. Pretty new to RCs, so any advice or recommendations are always welcome.

If you want the most performance the carbon is the answer. If you don’t want to build a kit the RTR is a great start.

Great information. But I have questions: transmission and portals have overdrive compared to what? Front to rear tire rotation? Overdrive is simply a higher gear. I'm not understanding exactly what you mean by this. Are you saying that the internal gearing in the transmission is different front to rear. Different portal gearing front to rear? Also, the steering gear is mounted on the front axle, the front bumper is not as wide as the windshield, so does this mean it's a class III RTR straight out of the box? Great channel dude. I would sure like to crawl with yawl out West. Nothing but love from the East.
@westdesertwheeler11 ай бұрын
You understand overdrive, it is overdriving the front tires in relation to the rears and it works as you guessed. Different ratios to each. As far as the bumpers from what I understand class 1 mandates bumper to be windshield width and class 2 must be wider than the chassis so I think this is legal

I’m not advocating for this rtr but in my experience when my normal larger in O.D lower links become my high center point of no forward drive or being ejected left to right I wish for a smaller diameter link. I personally like 1/8” diameter solid rod tap and die 8/32 with a traxxas rod. Easy to bend for hi clear ore they will banana in shape over time which is nice, so the rod is more capable in the trade off of strength but meh. I understand that the parts price is far superior in the kit but I’m with you in the amount of over/under being to much so for me I don’t even care about the machined gear set up. Probably have to set aside some money for the machined ring and pinion gears as these are powdered metal. I’m liking this a lot. But I already have a scx10ii. Based rock pirate interceptor build and a half built toyzuki v2 j have never tried.
