They've worked on and off with a few notable names in the business, and you can see it paying off with the progress they have made. Lots of improvement. I did notice a few bugs, but hopefully they get them worked out in the near future.

See, the problem with Buzz, is that he has no understanding of what quality content is. There are many developers that can easily surpass HIS and DTM, without even trying. Who are they: -Reppo -Smokebox -Searchlight Simulations -RRmods (even though he's an asshole and illegally distributed SS intellectual property) -JointedRail (The King) -Virtual Rail Creations (VRC) -MachineRail -Diesel Workshop -Victory Works Who cannot surpass the mentioned developers: -Dovetail Games (DTG) -Digital Train Model (DTM) -Buzz (pretty sure he's not a dev, but I don't give a shit) -High Iron Simulations (HIS) -TravelbyTrain

I’ve already got two scenarios built but unfortunately I can’t publish to Workshop because the “blueprint” is not recognized. On a side note, how does one get the caboose interior to work with this a particular model? Hitting the 5 key only allowed me to do the usual front and back platform view.
@thewvnetworkАй бұрын
I figured out my own mistake on the caboose. When looking at the list, the "unfinished" caboose that came with the H9 appears right under the new 55 ton hoppers. I had to scroll down into the list of other items that came with the H9 to find the WM Steel Caboose with the extra enhancements. I still wish it were possible to share workshop scenarios with the i2 and new equipment.

@thewvnetworkАй бұрын
@@schnauzahpowahz Yeah, I checked that. It just redirected me back to Steam Workshop. The issue is when you try to publish an add on like this to Workshop, if they didn't sell it directly through Dovetail or Steam, the blueprint isn't recognized. They did finally start selling the H9 through Steam, so I was able to share a couple scenarios I made for it a while back. Its just a waiting game, I guess. I've not found another way of publishing it before that happens, but if you know please share!

H9 tender: 23 tons coal, 15,000 gal water I2 tender: 30 tons coal, 22,000 gal water

So I consider myself to not be a foamer, but instead a massive nut for WM steam since I grew up near Cumberland in the 90s so I grew up with 734 and the WMSR. Wasn't super thrilled with the H9 to be honest. Inaccurate modeling such as the headlights and piping just disappearing, inaccurate sounds despite multiple recordings and schematics I sent over. H9 Id give em a 6/10. The I2 however, their modeling has vastly improved, the cab looks pretty accurate to photos I have of the I2s cab. Sounds, bell doesn't 100% sound right but its fine as is since its not a super fast ringing. The whistle, while also no being 100% accurate and considering the multiple recordings of WMSR 734 wearing I2 1114's whistle in the 90s but, the one it does have isn't bad and fits pretty well. All in all, in my opinion, Id give the WM I2 a 9/10. Great vid as per usual Schnauzah. Time for me to get back to my Railroader I2 lmao.

Why are American steam trains always all black, not even any logos or anything to break it up... if something is crying out for some graffiti along the rails its these 🙂
@idiotlygaming1430Ай бұрын
Because Black is class, and our boilers run a lot hotter and at higher pressures, these things ran more miles, more tonnage than anything in the world, maintence was already time consuming and then you add the very expensive high heat resistant paints and then you have your answer. Black was cheap and classy.
@FanRailerАй бұрын
What’s the point of painting a locomotive that’s gonna be covered in coal dust at the end of every trip anything other than black? Just makes it harder to keep clean.
@thegameoflife9179Ай бұрын
@@FanRailer well yeah, we can keep the cab black etc where the coal mainly is... and also why are a lot of other locomotives not black... i. e. the flying scotsman, mallard? should i go on? making them all the same colour without any variation what so ever makes none of them stand out in any way, even if they just painted the front (not really near the coal is it) that would be something
@katherinespezia4609Ай бұрын
@@thegameoflife9179 Flying Scotsman and Mallard are express passenger locomotives, the I-2 is a heavy freight engine. Freight-hauling steam locomotives are painted simple black pretty much everywhere in the world, and quite a few American passenger steam locomotives were streamlined and given colorful paint jobs. Look up SP 4449 or the Milwaukee Road Hiawathas.
@idiotlygaming1430Ай бұрын
@@thegameoflife9179 the locomotives you just listed are flagship passenger engines that represented the lines. Look up the Blue Comet, the Souther Cresent or the Daylight limited. Bristish Rails own F7 (who hauled the majority of UK freight by the end of the steam era) were all black, the german Kriegs were black with red wheels (to easily contrast cracks and wear). Our earlier steam engines were also brightly colored but thats when we found the trade offs in the cost of maintenace.
