I'm glad that kisses in Korean Dramas are getting better. I remember too many kisses in dramas from 10 years ago where the girl looks like a deer in headlights and doesn't kiss back, or someone has their eyes open, or both of them aren't moving their lips at all so they're frozen in position for 30 seconds while the camera circles around them. Like bruh, why are you both so miserable? Did someone eat garlic before filming 😂

I’ve watched all of the dramas that you showed…you’re correct Korean dramas have changed but it’s still more wholesome than the American and English movies reason why I will continue watching kdramas and Japanese among other Asian dramas.

Quite simply, Korean television has stricter rules and laws, so more explicit scenes cannot be shown. Personally, I like the sensual expression in Korean dramas. Without excessive eroticization, excessiveness, the feelings of the characters are shown through touch, glances, tension, energy, while many Western series sin with excessive frankness and accentuated sexualization of scenes.

it's usually the biggest downside to KDramas tbh. It can be jarring the way the romance aspects feel so awkward and forced at times. It often doesn't feel organic.

I love Chinese and kdramas. Its all about using all my senses when watching. I have to read all captions to understand. Characters are visually appealing . The men are so much more animated than American movies. The fantasy of men who love and protect is better.

I like both ways. Depends I guess also on my mood hahaahhah but as we all know we in the West, especially in Europe dont have much problem with nudity and sex in general and even when they show boobs in movies or tv shows it is nothing strange. Some Asian countries are more reserved in that regard though. Which isnt necessarily a bad thing. Love can be shown in different ways. In our western stuff I guess LUST is a big thing too, thats why some scenes are more obscene like they say than others. Just depends on the story. The one thing what I have to say is that Korea, even I would say Japan and China improved when it comes to kissing scenes. There are soooo many dramas where the male lead seems to be a great kisser and the girl stands there like a piece of wood and does nothing. I cant handle those dramas because the romantic kiss scenes are extremely weird.

My wife and I feel very uncomfortable watching prolonged kissing scenes in KDramas, whereas we would get giggly like teenagers (she's 37, I'm 42) with a simple eye to eye contact or a smack in the cheek/lips between the male and female protagonists. Before anyone calls us a bunch of prudes, yes, we've watched our fair share of adult videos, so we're no strangers to people pushing down their tongue down their partner's throat 😁
