Bluegrass is its own genre invented in the 40's. You gotta sing harmonies this way, gotta have f-shaped soundholes on your mandolin, gotta play the banjo like Skruggs. I didn't make these rules, the bluegrassers did. Call it folk if you want, old time is more accurate, but don't call it bluegrass.
