Wow!!! That’s amazing! I’m planning to do a 15-day trip very soon, to Shanghai and Beijing. And then next year to other cities in China. Let me know if you have tips for those two cities! 😍

@@oliverdadema Shanghai is hotter than Shenzhen, so please be prepared that traveling at this time will be more painful. If you only have one day, it is recommended to visit Little Lujiazui (Pearl of the Orient) in the morning, Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street in the afternoon, Yu Garden in the evening, and return to the Bund in the evening to take a cruise on the Pujiang River to see the night view. If you don’t like shopping that much, you can also go to Xintiandi, which is two subway stops away from Yu Garden, in the afternoon. If you have two days, add Disneyland. If you have three days, plus World Expo Riverside and Tianzifang, if you have more time, just go all the way from Sinan Road - Huaihai Road - Xintiandi. If you have four days, add an in-depth tour of Xuhui, including various old houses and exquisite shops in Xujiahui and North Xuhui areas. If you have five days, you can consider visiting the suburbs of Shanghai, such as Zhujiajiao or Songjiang. Tickets for the Forbidden City and other popular attractions must be reserved online in advance. There are no offline ticket outlets now and they cannot be purchased on the same day. You can take the high-speed rail from Shanghai to Beijing, which is cheaper and more convenient than flying and takes about four hours. On the day of arrival, you can visit Shichahai during the day and Sanlitun in the evening to try Beijing delicacies. The next day to Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden City, and Jingshan Park (overlooking the panoramic view of the Forbidden City). On the third day to Badaling Great Wall. On the fourth day, you may visit the Summer Palace and Temple of Heaven Park. Or you can arrange a one-day food tour. This KZbin is very worthy of reference. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bnbJiGSFeLBrorc Many Chinese people don’t know about these small shops. I don’t know if you like bars or not. You can go to Fuxing Park in Shanghai and Gongti West Road in Beijing. There are all kinds of bars , and there are many foreigners like you.

Traditional Chinese gardens are famous in Suzhou, and the IMPRESSION WEST LAKE show in Hangzhou is a must-watch. Wuzhen will take you back through time, it's a water town near Shanghai, YunNan is like heaven, HaiNan is a vacation vibe, don't forget FengHuang town if you visit Avatar mountains, XinJiang and west Sichuan could be Switzerland if you find the right area.....not to mention Tibet. All in all, take your time and enjoy! But if you want to experience real local life, you would need a guide/speak the language/stay for a while.

China is truly vast, with many cities worth visiting. Instead, I would particularly recommend visiting Chinese museums, such as the Terracotta Warriors in Xi'an and the Sanxingdui Museum in Sichuan. Retail stores in China generally stay open on weekends, but many places have few people during the day because the weather is too hot. The busiest time in China is at night. Among religious believers in China, Buddhism and Taoism account for more than 80% of the total, followed by Islam, and then other religions such as Christianity. In some big cities, it is not easy to find a temple or church. Temples are generally located in more remote areas or mountainous areas. It's not easy to find them in urban areas. There will be some in urban areas of cities in the northwest region. There are relatively few churches in China because they belong to relatively niche religious beliefs.

Hi!Here I recommend you some travel suggestions for Shenzhen other than the city center. If you want to experience a different kind of rail transit, you can take BYD Yunba near Pingshan Station. This is a small and medium-capacity monorail transit system developed by BYD.Compared with the subway, it has a different riding experience and does not require security checks. If you want to go to the port, you can go to Yantian Station to see Yantian Port. If you want to go to the local migrant workers' community, you can go to Bao'an District, Longhua District, Longgang District, etc. For example, if you take Line 16 to Xintangwei Station, you will find many urban villages. These are the communities where migrant workers in Shenzhen live. The price of meals there is very low compared to the city center of Shenzhen, but the houses are relatively old and you can experience different customs and customs from the city center. If you want to see the natural scenery and high-rise buildings in Shenzhen, you can climb Wutong Mountain. In short, there are still some good places in Shenzhen, depending on how you choose.

Beijing offers a great combination of old and new; it's the cultural and political center. Xi'an is one of the oldest cities in China and served as the capital for over a thousand years. It has many well-preserved relics and architecture that give you a taste of what ancient China was like 2,000 years ago. Hangzhou and Suzhou perfectly combine ultra-modernism and traditional Chinese culture. It is a city that is half surrounded by the sea and half mountains. The Gulang Island is called the Museum for Buildings of Thousands of Countries. Across the sea lie the traditional houses or buildings in the block of Amoyer. It's a heaven for bus lovers too. We have the best BRT in China. Well actually the transportation here defeats all the other cities in China or even maybe in the world😂 2️⃣Quanzhou, the city next to Xiamen will be another place you don't want to miss. There are thousands of temples and churches all in one city! You can simply read the China's religion history here. The food here is really nice! Try it! 3️⃣ The Wuyi Mountain. One of the birth place of TEA. A tea lover shall never miss it! The Mountain lies in Northern Fujian, with a stream twisting around it. You can also try Zhupai here, a tiny 'ship' made of bamboo🎋. It is of great fun!! 4️⃣Xiapu! It is one of the places that be filled with most delicious sea food😍You may witness one of the largest seafarm for laver and kelp. You can also pick up seafood on the beach yourself. 🦀🦐

I'm quite curious about why would people think or had thought that wearing short pant in China is not appropriate.😅 Guangdong Province, which the city of Shenzhen located, is actually quite famous for people there like to wear short pants and flip flops in summertime. lol

Just wear tanktop and short pants bro. China is a place with the least strict with the dress code. Especially in wedding😂 can basically wear slippers in there.

@@oliverdadema Nanjing is about one hour by train from Shanghai, haha, and it is on the train route to Beijing, so you can make a stay there. if you go to Nanjing try to book ticket to Nanjing Station not the Nanjing South, because at Nanjing Station, you will see a huge lake with ancient city wall and city skyline as background, quite nice.

Hi Oliver. I live in Shenzhen. Nanshan district. You can go biking in Shenzhen bay. IF u stay here on weekend. U can use my bike, because pubilc share bike is not allowed in Shenzhen bay.

Next time you may consider Chengdu, where the giant pandas live also famous for the Sichuan cuisine. or Xi'an city, you can see the old China, or Hangzhou or Shanghai which are easier for foreign tourists. if you love nature sceneries, definitely go to Yunnan province, where has rich history and traditional minorities' culture. if you have enough time, Xinjiang and Tibet is totally culture shock compared to eastern China

As more and more Western tourists visit China, they will find that the real China is not as bad as Western media reports. China is a developing and dynamic country.

If you want to know the real history of Xinjiang that the west turns a blind eye on, come to Hami. I went to 3 museums here today, learnt so much about how Xinjiang used to belong to ancient China and was reclaimed in the past 150 years by Qing

Go visit Shanghai next. Shenzhen is all new. Shanghai is a mixture of the old and the new. A true cosmopolitan.
