I love Akron, but I do remember the racial tension preceding the riots. At the time I was in 9th grade at Goodyear Jr High. The bulk of my friends were African American. My family were poor white folks and while we did not experience the injustices of people of color, I totally understood their plight. To this day I have tried to find any information about my former classmates. I truly want to know how theirs lives turned out. I will remember and love them always.❤️

I remember Mr John Ballard lived down the street from the inlaws. He insisted that street be plowed and salted last in the city so that he didnt get preferential treatment.

the drugs is what is making it a hell hole other than that the town is in good shape for a liberal run town
