Arc length and angle were the biggest struggles I had starting out with TIG as well as where to position the filler wire. TIG is so fun because you control every single variable, that's what also makes it so challenging.

@@WesternWeldingAcademy Wyoming? Why would there be a need to have a "welding academy" in wyoming? If there's a job up there or anywhere, they look to Texas and Louisiana for people. Most of you all don't do code work, it's mostly just repairing gates to keep the cows from wandering out.

You did an excellent job explaning every thing you did. BUT YOU DID NOT SHOW THE RESULTS AFTER EACH DEMONSTRATION. This is the first time I rate one of your videos as bad. You guys do a great job and no doubt run an awesome facility.

I was 21 and felt the same urge. I bought an inexpensive mig machine to try out. I told myself if I get descent at it I would get a nicer machine. I'm 30 now and that cheap welder is still kicking ass! It wasn't the cheapest out there. I bought one that was 240V and had standardized consumables. I really want a nicer one but just can't justify the cost when what i've got works so well. Anyway, I learned off youtube. I've never had anyone show me a damn thing but am always looking for tips and advice. Give it a try.

If you had the option to be a doctor or a welder, what would you do?
@WesternWeldingAcademy2 жыл бұрын
still a welder

@@WesternWeldingAcademy Can you give reasons why? What really makes welding the better option?

i would still rather be a welder because as a doctor you have to deal with peoples bodily fluids and nasty shit like that

Hmmmmm....weld and become a master craftsman and general all around bad azz or become a doctor and look at some old ladys hemroids.....tough choice....🙄 Seriously though...follow your heart...which one seems most compatable with your personality.
