This was nice. I used to love winding up the separator in the shed when I was a child. It stood about 2m tall, including the massive tree stump it was bolted to. At age 5, it was annoying if the handle stopped at the top and too high for me to reach without something to stand on. After the farm drifted away from dairy only (long before I was born), It was still used every day to separate the cream from milk from the couple of milking cows that we always kept. There's nothing like fresh milk, cream and butter from high cream yielding cows. I enjoyed the video very much, thank you.

I think it isn't correctly build up. This machine works by centrifuge force, as the milk fall in the spinning cones, the fat separates. And I can't see how the milk meets the spinning cones... Quarantine questions 🤔

Спасибо за воспоминания!!! 👍👍👍 Деревня ,молоко,свежие сливки. И эта адская машина😄. Сколько покрутить её приходилось... У бабушки было штуки 4 сепаратора и все разные. Помню сам собирал и разбирал его. Кстати, гайка на барабан затягивается специальным ключём по меткам,но ни как не от руки. И если хоть одна пластина в барабане перепутана, штуковина эта работать не будет. 😄😉👍

For food processing equipment, you should really only be using food grade mineral oil, so you don't contaminate your milk with toxic oils.

Mit solcher Zentrifuge habe ich als12 jähriger Junge 1954 in der Altmark Milch getrennt. Danach wurde der Rahm in einen Butterfass zu Butter verarbeitet.

So let's see you separate some whole milk direct from the cow into cream and milk. We had one when i was a boy. We had a milk cow on the small farm we lived on. We had to milk her twice a day. But our separator was much, much larger. It stood about 4 feet high and the basin held about 6 gallons. I could never get the technique of cow milking down, so cranking the handle on the separator was my job. We made the cream into butter, and some of the milk into cheese. The rest we used on our cereal and for cooking. Some of my siblings drank it but I never did much care for milk as a drink. In coffee a little bit is fine, but not straight.

You may be right. Frankly, I don't know much about the cream making process. That's why I didn't try to parse the cream with the device.

What makes you you think that filling all the casting marks is good? The chaacte comes from the contrast between the machined surfaces and the dimpled painted surfaces - originally enamel, but everything has to be water-based these days. Also there was no attempt to recreate the distinctive gold decoration around the bowl and the base.

На масляной крышке нужен не герметик,а пробковый уплотнитель или бумага пропитанная смолой или воском. Рисунок нанести через трафарет, вручную или деколь.
