My mate got married on this day, the wedding was booked long before the fixtures came out so he was crestfallen when he found out. We’re all season ticket holders in the BML and me a few others had been invited to the wedding out in Oxfordshire. Give my mate his due he told us we didn’t have to come to wedding but were welcome to come to the reception providing we sent text updates during the game. So me another friend are standing in the BML suited and booted looking ready for court as watched and text, apparently just as Upson score text came through he was saying I do! We drove to the venue after the game ad the moment he saw us he legged it across the room from his new bride of a few hours to jump up and madly in front of everyone. All at the wedding knew he loved West Ham, the flowers on the tables were claret and blue, the groomsmen all had West Ham ties on and the bride wore a claret dress and not a white one, so she always knew what she was letting herself in for! ⚒⚒⚒⚒ COYI

Sick of people saying he kept us up; he was half the reason we fell down the table in the first place. Season before, we did well (9th place newly promoted and seconds away from winning the FA Cup), then okay start to the next, and then he arrived and took a while to get going. He 'kept us up' but only after 'helping us down the table' in the first place.

Remember this game well as I had a ST in the Centenary Lower (as it was then) at the time. Fond memories. Should never have been a penalty anyway as the handball was outside the box but seeing Ronaldo miss it again all these years later is still hilarious!
