Westhaven August 2024 Running Session

Plenty of GWR and SR action during August. Maunsell D1 arrives with the boat train from Waterloo. Early morning milk and fish heading to London. Westhaven is always busy during the summer.

Looking at the D1 close up, I wouldn’t touch it with weathering, it’s a thing of beauty. Many times I’ve gone mad with weathering and should have maybe just put more “shine” to highlight a freshly cleaned loco!

@@Shelfandtabletoplayouts00gauge I like a loco to look used but to different levels. Real coal is important too. No manufacturer has managed to make a decent coal load yet, despite superb detail on the rest of the loco.
