Great video! My thoughts: - Animations are fine if done sparingly. Long animations for revives and entering/leaving vehicles are quite annoying because they get in the way of the gameplay flow and leave the player vulnerable doing common actions. However, animations for things like buddy reviving, vaulting, rolling after a fall, etc. are a few good instances where a longer animation can be fine because those actions are less common and a tactical choice. - Agree exactly with you on the ideal duration of squad revives (longer) and medic revives (short). Buddy reviving is great for non-medic friends! - Loved the removal of spotting (except with specialized gadgets), and retaining the feature from BF1 of not appearing on mini-map for shooting. - Gunplay was tighter than BF1 but still not as satisfying as BF3/4 or CoD:MW 2019 in many ways. Despite the understandable lack of customization (WW2 game) the guns didn't always feel powerful, especially at longer ranges (completely unrealistic damage drop off).

It lacks content, for sure and doesn't have the artistic quality of previous battlefields but most of the gamers are exaggerating with that level of bad critisism for the game. Yes it's extremely far from being a proper WW2 game, the direction has been completely out of the line but gameplaywise is far superior to any other FPS out there. I like everything you’ve mentioned. I to hope they transfer to the next title. Also I really like how we can shoot the flairs, smoke grenades, anti tank, grenades and frag and stick grenades either on the ground or in the air and they react differently in the air to the ground when shot it looks so cool and it’s fun to try and do. Also there are some takedowns that don’t always happen like behind you can strangle and snap necks 🤣 or head butt from the front. It’s so cool. I also like when your character punches someone in the face before using their melee.

@Anubis_X64 it's not about that at all. The game wasn't supposed to launch but they thought they could catch up when they couldn't as we can see now, The game is the most advanced game on console for a first person shooter. They tried to do too Many things that they couldn't realistically do in the time they had.

Barely a few things, I been playing BfV almost everyday from December till now and then today I decided to buy Bf1 Revolution and realized how much bf1 is actually, it might be smaller since it older now but it feels just soooo much different from bfV, bfV feels really empty (weapons and overall content wise) and plain boring as I play it i never felt really happy while playing it and then i played bf1 after 2 years (i used to play on ps4 before and now I'm on pc), it just felt AMAZING so much action, explosion it really feels like it all out war especially verdun map. BFV is dogshit and them stopping support for the game was at first a bit hard to accept for me but then I realized what's going to happen, players are going to return to older games. I personally thank them for stopping support for this game it was honestly doomed from start and this was for better.

How did this game even fail?? There is so much material to gather from WW2. They could of started the game out with the iconic settings, things everyone knows about and loves. Stalingrad, Dday, bastogne, kursk and battle for france and britain. The DLC could be the ''untold stories of WW2'' that they wanted to tell. The dlc could of been Africa, the Pacific, scandinavia and greece, maybe even china vs japan?? Character customization should of been things like, do you want to wear a helmet or no? Does your helmet have a net over it? Does the net contain a magazine, or maybe a ration? No need to go overboard with customization in a WW2 game. Such an easy concept, incompetence ruined this game.

I agree with a lot of things on this list, though when it comes to gunplay I think we should have a greater array of attachments, that way in certain situations with a certain gun, you can control a firefight
@PoisoningShadow6714 жыл бұрын
I dunno how people found the gunplay of BF1/BF5 appealing outside of semi-auto/bolt action rifles, It's probably just me but I always felt the firing animations and recoil was dumbed down so the weapons felt more like the dude was going pew pew and simulating recoil instead of BF4 where the guns actually felt like they kicked everytime you shoot.
@Xiox3214 жыл бұрын
It only makes sense depending on the setting. If it's modern/futuristic then they can go crazy with attachments, if it's historical, then it's pretty limited.

That was one of the best parts, this atention they gave, different vehicles fort different factions, and not just a re-skin with the same gameplay. And about the weapons, i like they in this way, at least the bullets landed and dont disapeared mid air XD This "Counter Strike" weapons style is cool, you need to know how to play with it.

My main feeling with BF5 is mostly frustration. I've been playing it less and less, and I think one of the main reasons is the lack of a team auto balance. Being put onto teams who are losing and outnumbered over and over is demoralising but it seems like it's a pretty common experience, and an unnecessary one given that this could have just implemented an auto balance feature.

Sorry Westie, but I disagree about the fortification system. It's boring, and far too often you have players who are building in the back and not helping the team. I feel Battlefield have the capability to create an amazing WW2 game much like Post Scriptum. My problem is they tried to mix WW2 and modern politics together. Dice could easily just not care about SJWs and make a game with accurate maps, troops, and weaponry. Say they want to have a map in Holland during operation Market Garden, the allies need to start in the planes, parachute, and set up their attack, while the Germans have tanks like Tigers and Panthers and have to set up defenses. Every game tries to set themselves apart, battlefield doesn’t need to be hyper realistic, it would just be nice to feel immersed in war
