As a US combat Vet who had to play the original janky inspiration of this genre as a Soldier way back in the day irl--I’d say I’m extremely happy to see you all playing for NATOs prospects (yes we do OPFOR too). It’s as accurate as a game gets in most ways. If your thinking of joining the infantry before GTA6/WW3 familiarize yourself the with the vanilla orienteering (games version isn’t bad as an intro), cover, concealment etc all real. It’s fascinating to watch you all learn and adapt lol. It’s just missing the planning, we spend longer planning than the operation usually lol. Keep training (cough) I mean having fun 😅. GGs

@@achilleos1 Have you seen Squad’s squad system? Do you think it would help players organize and cooperate? I think right now the single biggest thing holding us all back is that there is minimal coordination. Once everyone dismounts there is no plan whatsoever. More rigid squad roles could help alleviate that, as players would have a better idea of what they’re supposed to be doing to support whatever action they’re apart of.

Irl We typically spend longer planning than executing for one (I don’t expect that usually, maybe in Drewski videos), but you need coordination with hierarchy or it will be chaos unless you’re trained as a team over and over. Basically, plan as a team, have a hierarchy, rehearsals then start the mission and adapt to the enemy movement. Irl is far more cumbersome for success (friends don’t die), so YES you are correct. Hero’s don’t win battles like COD, they save people under fire. Prepared teams win battles, full stop. I agree the game could offer better structure and suggestions for this, but in the meantime a coordinated team would absolutely roll up the enemy like irl US Army vs RUS. Officers, NCOs and well trained Soldiers are just a huge ask with gamers. It’s asks a lot but that’s the real life answer. But even a small amount of coordination will work beautifully my friend. 🫡

middle mouse button opens backpacks clothes on dead enemies for faster looting and attachments for ur weapons to change them or whatever. you can open multiple inventory at the same time comes up as little box (sorry if you know just seen it in part of the video that you were looting)

Arma needs a dog tag feature so you can see who's body it is and see how many tags they've collected. A wearable slot like the wrist watch but for dog tags

Try making your red dot smaller. Makes it much easier to see what you are shooting. Hold center mouse and it will turn down the brightness so you don't get that halo around the dot.

In the video the red dot is slightly brighter due to added saturation I’ve added in the edit. In the true gameplay, it wasn’t as bright.

That’s not really a video I’d consider making, not really my style. But ultimately if you just dive into the game, play on WCS servers for the best experience, and just start communicating with teammates, they’ll help you. That’s how I started with my friends, players were very welcoming!

I dont get it. I asked someone today at work, he told me he tried it because of all the buzz and to his surprise the game is very glitchy. I tried Arma Reforger about a year or two ago and was super glitchy. I wanted to try it again ( i have a xbox series x) but now im having second thoughts. My friend tried it on PS5 , he said it was glitchy.
