That was a really fast retrieve Thom, I'd be interested to know the water temp and how that relates to the speed you were working the lure.

From memory it was back in the Autumn and about 12 degrees. As a general rule below 10 degrees the crankbait is less effective and I will fish it slower then, but I’ve still been surprised on days when I’m cold water cranking 5/6 degrees and they will still come and hit it as fast as you can wind it! It’s rare in cold water, but can be a superb way to trigger them 👍🏻

What size reel are you using with that rod? I’m torn between the 1000 or 2500 vanford

For the 5-15g Finesse T&C I like a small reel so 1000 size (but a 2000/2500 is also fine), but for the heavier 7-21g at 2500 is perfect 👌

You should always hold the rod with your dominant hand

Disappointing. Where is the how to? Where is the educational bit? Other than winding fast there's very little said. And the shad one is worse that just looks like an advert under the guise of a how to video. Shocking to say the least Put some meat on the bone
