Hi Rikki, I’ve been using the lightest version of W10 in PE0.2 and 13lb. It’s crazy good 👍🏻 In the W6 I’ve been using 0.128mm I think it’s PE1 and I’ve been fishing crankbaits a lot on it and again it’s performed perfectly

The thing about the perch (and the pike) going shallower the colder it is in the Swedish archipelago is not entirely correct, I would say. That logic applies to certain archipelago areas, such as Blekinge archipelago, Kalmar etc., but not in the Stockholm archipelago, for example. There, the lake logic, that the perch go deeper the colder it gets, is more generally correct. Perhaps it has to do with the fact that Stockholm's archipelago is a significantly deeper archipelago than, for example, Blekinge and Kalmar, with greater depth and where the bait fish are adapted to that environment. Blekinge, Kalmar etc. are much shallower archipelagos right through.
@borreholic Жыл бұрын
Yeah, I guess there are both extremes with everything in between, depending on area and type of water. I still think it's fascinating that I can catch decent amounts of perch (not regularly, but it happens) on 1,5m depth in the archipelago north of Stockholm in like early November, in an area where it's 6m deep only 100m away or a bigger open bay (fjärd) with 10m depth around 1km away. If I try to do the same thing in my lakes (say 12-15m max depth), it feels there's not a single perch soul on shallower than 3m from early October an on and I could cast forever without a contact... So it has to be more to it than only availability and proximity to deeper water..
@Mulukkis2 жыл бұрын
Who's making those "jerkbites"? Where can you get those?
@Mulukkis2 жыл бұрын
Tried to search around. Seems that we don't have these Westin Jerkbites in Finland yet.
Swedish archipelago can have the best perch fishing there is, but also the worst. The Swedish coast have mostly vast areas that is completely dead due to industrial over fishing.
@westinfishing2 жыл бұрын
Sad but true Lucas... Hopefully it will get better.

It is a shame that trawling is allowed to continue. They should be banned outright. Only sustainable, small-scale fishing should be allowed.

Kommer ni släppa Jerkbite i färgsättningen Green Ghost som Jörgen kör med?
@lucaslogg10242 жыл бұрын
I do not question the effiancy of the jerkbite :) The profile of that jerkbait seems very like a megabass oeneten, and there are many jerkbaits that copy that prophile. But there are jerkbaits on the market that have a prophile of its own. But I do not complain, I do not have the money to loose a one eten. So bring-em-on with close -enough-to-one-eten-baits that don't break the bank :)
@Thomhuntfishing2 жыл бұрын
Yes it has a long slim profile like many jerkbaits out there, however each brand makes them different with rattles, balance, suspending of floating/sinking, lip style and amount of movement, colour range etc no 2 jerkbaits are the same! And yes, the Westin Jerkbite is not only superb as a fish catcher but has a retail price of €12.99 for both the shallow runner and the medium runner, which in my opinion is too cheap!
