So I just got my IGEN2200 today and went to start it and noticed fuel leaking up by the carb. I realized it only did it when I turned the dial from off to the choke position and run, it would stop leaking when I put the dial on off. I removed the sparkplug and cleaned it as I think it had some gas on it from being flooded. and tried to start it again and finally got it going. So far it hasn't been leaking any more fuel as far as I know. I called and started case#SC155424. I wonder if they forgot a seal or something or if the float bowl thingy was stuck.

One question the output ac wave is modify / square/ or pure wave 60hz ? I’m confused at the choke / on dialing modes will I always need to put choke mode after each start up or it’s only for the first time? I’m new at gas generators so I have no idea

There is no discussion of grounding. Can this generator be used without being grounded?

Seriously you put in your video how to get the generator out of the box? If someone doesn't know how to get something out of a box, they should not be running power equipment!

Yes, based on average calculations, the iGen2500 will run your AC. We recommend that you double-check the power requirements of your AC to ensure it falls within the 2500 peak watts and 2200 rated watts of the iGen2500.

How do you ground it?

Hi Quietlike! Per the response given on the other question, we cannot recommend grounding your generator or not as local area codes differ. Typically, using an inverter where it is touching earth ground will be good to ensure it is grounded.

Sorry, Westinghouse customer service was not helpful to me. I purchased a new iGen 2200 from Amazon and followed the instructions to the T but the generator would not start. I went through the troubleshooting and no luck. A technician was supposed to contact me, but never did, and customer service could not tell me when they would try. Amazon however was extremely helpful. They offered to send me a replacement or refund my money, I wanted my money back. Don't feel comfortable with Westinghouse.

Bought one wouldn't start out of the box they sent me a second one and that one wouldn't even start out of the box

Nice gen , should have got the 2200 I xlt Westinghouse , same gen except xtra low tone { XLT ) that is what I got in addition to my Honda 3000 eu , Westinghouse makes a very good product !

@@kyjarhead12 I am not a gen mechanic , my gen works great ! I know its a couple days late on this reply , did you get your gen going ? Pretty simply just address all the yellow places and pull the rope ? Lid vent , on knob , pull choke , gas in tank , pull rope ? :)

I bought my iGen2500 in August 2020. In October the power knob vibrated off. I have sent multiple emails since October 2020 and as of 3/2021 I have never heard from their customer service. DO NOT buy this product, you will never get customer service if it breaks
